Either one is fine by me. We need a big name hire to get the mojo back. Face it, JP's job is on the line now, for sure. His seat is warm, and I am a huge JP supporter.

If Jesus became the head coach at Nebraska I'd go to hell. Although, I think I'm already there.
He is a great high school coach, but Iowa State doesn't need to go this route. They are a top 5 program even without Cael and they can get someone at the college level that is already proven.
If I was doing the hiring I would give strong consideration to Jack Spates at Oklahoma if he was interested.
I'd say Bobby Douglas...

To be a bit of a jerk, JP could offer to pay him more than Cael to run Penn State's deal. That'd be super (except for the whole more money thing).

Like I said I know very little about wrestling, so I was not necessarily serious that we should go after him. However, the guy has definitely proven that he can win on a consistant basis, I would have to think that that experience would transfer over. Although Cael obviously knew how to win as an individual, how good was he at coaching that? I guess that is something that we will find out later down the road.
I am not too worried about our wrestling program. We have the kind of wrestling tradition that would be comparable to saying that Duke would self destruct if Coach K left. I would imagine that there will be plenty of excellent coaches lining up for this job.

I like Heskett. Great wrestler, ISU Alum, has coached for more then a few years.
He's be a great spokesman for the University and is more of a firery coach(my main complaint with Cael).

I know that Heskett is from the Cyclone family, but we're among the top three programs in the country. I would hope that Jamie could lure an accomplished, proven HEAD COACH to Ames. My god, if we can't do that in wrestling, what sport can we do it in?
Wrestling's a pretty small fraternity. He's at OSU which last year was #2 in the country I believe?
I haven't seen any names mentioned that stand head and shoulders over Heskett...
