Sleep question

I slept til 1145 this past weekend and I didn't even drink the night before. It was glorious

There are several versions of this, with varying counts, but it works pretty well in making you drowsy enough to sleep. The important part is inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling forcefully through your mouth, completely filling and emptying your lungs.

Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four. Hold your breath for a count of seven. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight

A slight variation on this is to drink about seven beers before bedtime.

I dozed off midway through your description, so I think that strategy works well. ;):D

I get jealous of young people and their ability to sleep. I remember when I was young sleeping 10-12 hours at a time. I can't think of a time I slept more than 9 hours in the last 20 years. I'd say only once every 2 months does my alarm actually go off (5am M-F) before I wake up on my own.

I'm not big into laying in bed after I wake up either. Once I'm awake, I'm getting up.

My wife's super power is her ability to sleep. She can go to bed at 8:30, wake up at 7:00, take 3 naps and be back to bed sleeping soundly at 8:30 again. Even more so when she's stressed out. No idea how she does it.

I'm terrible at going to sleep. So many good things on TV after midnight and I get a second wind.

Once asleep I am elite, can sleep 12 hours easy. I have slept over 20 hours on occassion.

So here I am, attempting to provide assistance, dispensing the wisdom I have accumulated while achieving my advanced age, and you MOCK me.

When I was at Friley, I'd occasionally set my alarm to make sure I woke up in time to make it to food service before they stopped serving lunch on Saturday.

I miss being able to sleep like that.

Today's medical term: Knee crepitus.

Parts are wearing out. Think I'll gross out the grandnephews when I see them next. Hey, kids, listen to this.

Question for CF keyboard experts . Often go to bed at 10:30 pm and wake up randomly around 5:00-6:30 AM, sometimes to go to the bathroom but often times not . My alarm isn't till 7:15 . Often times I sleep that extra time in between but is this making me more tired ? I usually spring wide awake at that 5:45 ish time and swear I feel more awake then I do at 7:xx

Thoughts ?
It's your sleep cycle. If you want to look more into it you can google and fill out what times you go to sleep and wake up. Their are websites that will tell you at what time you should wake up at so you don't wake yourself up in deep sleep where you will feel more tired.
