Guys - Carolina fan here. I'm like a lot of you and basically trying to find all that I can about Harrison Barnes' decision tomorrow, but have enjoyed all of your posts. The only conclusion that I have come up with is that (1) I appreciate your dislike of Dook, (2) Iowa State is now my favorite team out of the Big 12 and (3) if Harrison does not choose Carolina, I hope he chooses you guys. I can take solace in your Dook bashing and hope Mr. Barnes is not influenced by those Dookies.

Really? Because I was there and Harrison hung out until the end of the lunch period. He and the ISU staff chatted a few different times. I saw none of the ISU staff “seriousâ€￾ at all. In fact a couple of the coaches spouses were “bickeringâ€￾ back and forth about rooms of junk the coaches haul from job to job and never get out of boxes.

Greg was very upbeat as someone whose son just signed a national LOI would be.

Now based on a conversation I had this evening I think ISU chances are significantly less than I thought yesterday. I remain cautiously optimistic but this person thinks ISU is eliminated base on HB mentioning being down to four earlier in the week and ISU was not one of the four.

I hope you are wrong...
If he doesn't go to ISU then please go to UCLA. West Cost doesn't have their games on till late at night.

How is Barnes very close friends with Kyrie Irving? Serious question. They must have only met on a recruiting trip.

They met through AAU and playing in camps together. Obviously they've become very close as Kyrie said they call each other all the time and Harrison refers to Kyrie as his little brother.

There was a little controversy in Kyrie's recruitment as his decision was leaked a few days before his ESPNU announcement by a source claiming their information was coming from the Duke staff (in reality, the information actually came from the Kentucky staff). As a result, Kyrie is not going to release any information that he has on Barnes' destination even if he knows he's going to Duke. I think this was just more a case of Kyrie supporting his friend than it was him dropping a hint about Harrison's destination.

I hope you are right. How is that the other Duke recruit put on his facebook for everyone to tune in and watch HB committing to Duke? why would he put that on there is there was not a GOOD chance of that happening. Just playin devils advocate here.

HB wants to win a National Championship. I don't believe Seth Davis when he says it won't happen at ISU. If Barnes comes here, we will bring in other awesome talent in the next couple of years and by Barnes' year 3 (he mentioned 3 years to get his degree before the NBA), and have a very good shot to have a very talented team that COULD win a NC.

That is the part that should make everybody happy, and I think that is what the family is counting on.

As the number one recruit, he has kept Iowa State in the mix. Iowa State is always mentioned, even with the people that think he is going somewhere else.

The only thing that I am concerned about, as an Iowa State fan, is that if he chooses somewhere else, that it isn't used against us in recruiting.
