How many LOI's were we expecting today? Was it 23 or were there more than that expected?

We're sitting at 22 right now. I think many are expecting us to get our full allotment of 25.

Thanks. I remember reading anywhere between 18 to 23 and that we were not expected to get the full 25.

He did intend to go to ISU to study Architecture. I remember that being one of his deciding factors.

I don't know for sure, but I think Ind. Eng could easily be one of those "pre-whatever" type of majors, before getting into the Arch program. Much like docs will major in Biology, or lawyers will major in Poly Sci.

IE and Architecture are much different I believe so I don't think this would be the case.

The Pre-Architecture/Pre-Design program is only a set few courses students need to take in order to be accepted. I think it's only like 12-18 credits of their frosh year. (I think 6 of them is a 'studio' where they have projects) So, Ind. Engineering is in the Engineering program, which is a separate college. Oh well, The More you Know....

Yep, the first year consists of your basic freshman classes and two 4 credit studios and a design history class. Admittance to the program of your choice after that year depends on your overall GPA and the quality of your portfolio. Architecture only lets about 40 people out of 200 or so each year... I don't know the exact number, but I know that it's very selective. The only way to guarantee a spot is to have higher than a 3.6 gpa and a damn good portfolio.

I know I've said this before, but Orne is going to a smaller school somewhere.
