Season ticket holders

Yes, because I've sat through much worse football games and seasons and coaches than this one.

It surprises me how many people act like this is the only ****** 2 plus seasons we've had at Iowa State. This isn't shocking. The first 4 years of the Rhoads era were shocking for the amount of success they had. Not this.

I'd be there rain, shine, snow, or if we were 0'fer. I don't care and am not a fair weather fan. I'll be there cheering on my Clones!

Yes, but I'm going to get blackout drunk so I don't have to remember what I see while I'm there.

Its never stopped anyone ever regardless of our record. The weather is the only thing that stops fans from going. Its about a whole day of tailgating and drinking and family time.

Id probably be there just for the tailgate if nothing else, but I've got a friend's wedding to attend.

It's stopped people. Remember the great McCarney years and our years long streak of 50,000 plus fans? You don't? That's right because it never happened.

The crowds will diminish pretty quickly as the year goes on if we don't manage to win a few games.

Yes. Always tailgate when the weather is decent. Plus it is the last game I am fairly confident we will win.

On some level the increase in fans is due to other things though. Partially its a generational change as the AD has done a lot to connect students and alumni to athletics. Then the other part is the huge tailgate party that's been developed. Win or lose we still have a great atmosphere.

I believe that the only right thing to do at this point is to call it what it is and give an ENTIRE refund to every season ticket holder. Just give free tickets out to every game here on out and hope some people actually show up.

That makes a lot of sense financially

The other big thing is the increased amount of alumni, and the fact that more and more they find jobs in Central Iowa. Our fanbase growth has little to do with what happens on the field.

I'm sure I'm going, but I hope I can find some cheap tickets for my two kids so I can distract myself with them. If anybody is planning on not going let me know and I'll take the tix so I can set my kids up for a lifetime of football misery.
