Having an issue with my Samsung tv- talked to customer service and have narrowed it down to either a cord or a box. Is there anywhere in the metro area that services Samsung tv’s I can get ahold of? Thanks in advance!

How old is the TV? My last Samsung would not stay on, would constantly turn off, which is a known common issue with Samsung, and they refuse to do anything about it. Cant remember exactly what it was, internal power supply maybe, But the repair was not only a pain to find someone but would cost nearly as much as just buying a new TV.

That being said I had another brand TV that would not turn on at all and found out there was a 10 cent fuse inside the TV that had blown. I got the new fuse, and replaced it on my own and it worked great but had to take the TV completely apart to fix it.

I don't know if any of the repair places even mess with TV's anymore unless it's a high end one.

It’s a 75” Samsung tv with a One Connect cable and box. The tv just shut off a few nights ago and will not turn back on. I’ve done all the troubleshooting and there is no status light that even illuminates on the lower right hand corner of the tv. So, the troubleshooting I did with customer service said it’s either that One Connect cable or the One Connect box has gone bad. They said to get a replacement cable and box- try the cable first to see if that’s the issue- if not then replace the box. My issue is I want to confirm I can return the expensive items if one thing or another remedies the problem and don’t need the other item.
Another issue is that this heavy ass tv is mounted on the wall about 7.5-8’ off the ground above a fireplace mantle- I really don’t want to take it down and take it somewhere.

Unless you spent well over a grand, just replace it.

TVs are disposable at this point.
Yep, I looked into fixing my big screen a while back but found that fixing it cost almost as much as buying a new one so I went with the latter option.

Traviss fixed mine.

Thing is that this tv is a replacement tv from warranty a few years ago. It’s a 75” 8K Neo QLED (2023 model)- when it was brand new its was a $6,000 TV I got for free replacing a similar model tv from 2022I bought for $1,400 a year before. I got a sweetheart of a deal for the warranty exchange. I’d say this is worth fixing but I just want to get the One Connect cable and box and do it myself. More less just need the parts.

Give this site a look. https://www.tv-forums.com/forum/TV_Equipment_C4/TV_Repair_Forum_F3/, they may be able to help you. Travis does repairs, but it's going to cost you an arm and a leg. Costco has that version for sell for $1,900 if you want to replace it and they add either one or two years on to the warranty.
You are kind of stuck, the TV is at a price point that it might be worth fixing, but there would be little or no guarantee that the problem does not spring up again down the road. If you have a lot of hours on it, I would just bite the bullet and get a new one, but check out the website I posted and maybe someone has a cheap solution to your problem.

If you find and post the model number for the TV we can probably find it. Here is a place you could look to start:

No saying to necessarily buy from them but you can probably find the part number for the one connect cable and box.

^ I am with 3TrueFans. You might want to just try the cable from an Amazon knockoff as a quick check. You already have the phone chat diagnosis as one of the probables from Samsung so it's not like you would be replacing parts willy-nilly and just going on hope.

You're probably looking at a 4k model. Something that's 8k, like the QN900D, runs more like $3,500.

Could be, it's why I said he is at a price point where it might be worth looking to fix it rather than replace it, unless its got a lot of hours on it. Also a good reason to purchase an extended warranty on high dollar tvs.
