That was quite a few years ago...Man, that NBA money must have dried up real quick if he's going full circus side show already.
Unassailable alcazarRoyce will need a fighter nickname.
Suggestions?
Maybe right before his first fight, Royce will refuse to actually fight and sue the UFC because they don't have a specific, stated protocol. And when asked for further clarification of what he is looking for, he refuses to specify, stating that the UFC should know.
His height won't be an advantage because any one with any BJJ and wrestling background is taking him to the ground and stealing his lunch money
I do I'm saying that even in the heavyweight division he will get destroyed on the ground. You don’t watch the heavyweight division very much. Much more striking and a lot less ground work. And a lot of really tired clinching.
JFC, I get that he's a pro athlete but to be decent at MMA you literally have to have YEARS of training and master a discipline. This will not end well for Royce.

This. The world of MMA is similar to baseball in that regard. There are so many levels before you're in the big league. You don't start in the UFC on fight one. Even when an Olympic wrestler or Judoka or a world class Muay Thai or BJJ guy starts MMA the path is a couple amauter fights, then a lower level promotion, then the UFC.
So his first fights would be on like a bar stage or some Lions Club or something. I dunno how he'd deal with that reality.
Quickest route is probably 3 years and that is if you are legit and have an exciting KO style. You don't start in the UFC on fight one. And after those 2-3 years he still didn't know all of the rules and got DQ'd from his first big fight for kneeing a dude in the face while he was on his knees.Quickest route is probably 3 years and that is if you are legit and have an exciting KO style.
Greg Hardy from the Cowboys had 3 fights in a lower MMA League and after 18 months, he got a chance on Dana White’s tv show Looking for a Fight. I think they signed him to a developmental contract where he had a few more fights and just recently had his first main UFC fight. All in all I think there was around 2.5 to 3 years.

You say bold I say delusionalGood luck to Royce.
When was the last time in your life you were this bold and announced it? For that alone, I'm glad for the inspiration.
