I don’t think Jaz is a “physical presence”. He’s a shooter.
Well ok. Maybe not 'physical' as in strength but thought I read works hard/competitive, so with size I would think that could help with rebounding. But what do I know?

His rivals profile show offers from Penn State and Xavier. With little knowledge on his HS recruitment, seems odd to end up at Denver.Deonte Burton had 6.4 pts and 1.4 rpg at Marquette before coming here. Stats aren't everything. Burton was a high ranked recruit tho.
9 and 5 at Denver doesn’t scream “Big 12 Talent” but I guess I’ll trust TJ on this one.
Not to mention Foster is a big man with a foot injury history. I hope he never is injured again but that's definitely concerningLet's say Foster or Conditt got into foul trouble next season. We have no other big in the program. This is much needed depth and competition.
Big guys get hurt more often then guards. We'd have no reserve if we had an injury in the post
Some offers are more committable than others goes in basketball I would imagine like in football. His rivals profile show offers from Penn State and Xavier. With little knowledge on his HS recruitment, seems odd to end up at Denver.

April Fool's!Someone’s gotta talk me into liking this commitment.
Getting Jamal Cain would be a great get.
6’7” wing who averaged 9.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg shooting 38% from the 3. Guy can fly.
Well minus the whole in California thing, ISU is in a good spot.Have no idea who that is but from that tweet it’s ISU and Oakland University heavily evolved? Not sure how that is even a competition.

Oakland University is in Michigan. Its where Dorsey-Walker and Percy Gibson transferred to after ISU.Well minus the whole in California thing, ISU is in a good spot.

With so many guys in the portal and more being added every day, I just absolutely don't get this move. Jaz has all the underlying analytics saying he can be a contributor at the P6 level and really came on strong late so while he may not be the flashiest name, there's reason to believe he can be a part of a winning team. But unless this like directly gets us one of his high school teammates, I can't say I get taking a player like this so quickly when there are so many moving parts this spring specifically.
I don’t think either of those guys are as good as Foster..I have no issue with TJ & Staff jumping on big guys early. The elite bigs will be heavily recruited by top 20 teams. Both guys look like they fill a need- Jones looks like a traditional 5 and can be a solid post defender/rebounder. Jaz looks like a prototypical stretch 4 who can rebound and hit 3's. I would still like to get a physical post like the kid from Indian Hills. The reality is both these new recruits might be better than Foster and Conditt.
Seems like there is always a lot more high scoring guards/wings in the portal- so that is where I would expect TJ to staff to bring in some instant impact guys.

Honestly I hope they are. We’ve desperately needed competition at the 4/5 position.I would tend to agree, based on Foster's limited play I think he is the real deal But Foster had surgery on a foot injury that goes back to his HS days. Plus there are a lot of 4 & 5 star kids that don't pan out in college. So I see both Jones and Kunc as strong competition for Conditt and Foster.
