I just read where his agent said to him, "It's a really small role you basically just say beer".

He said do I look like a guy that would walk in a place and say beer?

I love the Henry Fonda version of "12 Angry Men." I bet a live performance of that classic would be wonderful.
It was very different seeing Wendt playing a serious role. But he nailed his role and was fantastic

I think Cheers, Mash and Seinfeld are the three best Comedy shows in history. They were all fantastic. Very well written and great characters. Norm was one of my favorite. For Cheers to be able to replace Coach with Woody was a fantastic decision also after the actor playing coach passed away. George was looking a little rough in his last interview I saw. Seems weird to me that he was that old. Him and Kristy Ally can chill in the great unknown together.

I've always wondered what time Cheers closed. Just saw the episode where the opener was Sam kicking Norm and Cliff out then Woody reminded them to turn their clocks back and 1 hr. So their 2 AM went to 1 AM and they sat back down. That would have been a Saturday going into Sunday, but what time did they close down on a weeknight?

Cliff closed it down on many weeknights yet he could still perform his postal services.

Way up there
I grew up when Cheers was big, TV was a different experience then, Cheers was appointment TV for my parents so I usually watched too. It's the first show I can really remember watching. I was even Cliff one year for Halloween. Probably some nostalgia but it was a really good show, some great actors, well written and the jokes still land today. The last scene with Sam straightening up Coach's picture of Geronimo still gets me.

Completely. Not nearly as many options, no social media, no Internet. Those Thursday and Friday night lineups were gold... The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court. Then on Friday nights Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, Knots Landing (I think that was Friday?). MASH and Falcon's Crest were in there too somewhere. Great TV.

Did you ever meet any of the others? Rhea Perlman, Frazier, John Ratzenberger, etc?
Yes. I met them all. Rhea was very nice. John and Kelsey were fairly brief, but not rude. Let's put it this way. It was 'their' Christmas party so I felt blessed to have met anyone that night. It was those three that went out of their way to make a perfect stranger feel more welcome. Heck, not even my date spent much time with me that night.

It was different because most people didn't have the ability to record TV (at least early in the Cheers run) and if you wanted to see the show...you had to be in front of the TV when it aired. Otherwise you waited until summer to catch that episode when it was rerun. People would go to school/work and talk about the big shows the day after they aired...it was great! Not convenient...but fun! At times lives revolved around the TV schedule...

Nope, but all good guesses. Not really fair of me, so I'll just give it up. Keene Curtis
Wow.... I don't remember this guy at all. I need to go back and watch the show again. Was he a customer?

Owned the restaraunt upstairs...Melville's...took on more prominent role in the later years of the series...I think?
Oh yeah.... Forgot about that. Truth be told, I really don't watch tv or movies much anymore. I read books more (about 50-60 novels a year). Thanks for the clarification.

Did Danny come to the party with Rhea?
