That was a good win for Bockman.Great chance for Bockman to make a statement.
Dean is tough and I assume they wanted to start at 197 for a reason.

Herrera is a true freshman heavy and still learning. I’ll give him somewhat of a pass. 165, 174, 197 are extremely frustrating at the moment165 on up is struggling other than Bockman.
Indeed.165 on up is struggling other than Bockman.
1 trick ponies aren't a thing in D-1 WrestlingMJ needs to just wrestle. Relying waay too much on funk. Loses 11-9
I would favor anyone over Riggins, Gaitan & Schon. I’m guessing this is what Dresser meant by it doesn’t matter how much you want to win or try it won’t matter if you haven’t prepared. Obviously, we have some wrestlers that did not prepare over break and are taking losses now that more than likely keep them out of Nationals. Carroll can’t overcome his issues fast enough. This is not where ISU wrestling should be right now. Who would have imagined 3 years ago a team with Riggins, Gaitan, & Rojas at 2 weights are going 0-2 against 2 non-ranked wrestlers.Indeed.
Bucknell will test the lower weights much more than Rider did as well.
Takats of Bucknell is severely underrated at 174 in my opinion. I think I’d favor him over MJ.
Flo arena should have something? Are there any summaries of the results anywhere other than by subscription to Flo?
Death taxes and you brining up the same weight cut posts everytime
Carroll wrestled 92kg in 2024 and you have no idea on Schon and his cut. Stop being so dramatic.
Why did D1 teams quit coming to the national duals in Cedar Falls? Seems dumb that we're out at the Virginia duals wrestling Rider and Bucknell when we could be in Cedar Falls wrestling better competition
I checked there but didn't see anything.Flo arena should have something?
Maybe not.
Idk.Gee, sorry for defending kids who are making a considerable sacrifice for the team. Silly me for doing such a terrible thing. I guess it’s better that people rip on them.
That’s with freestyle weigh in rules, for one tournament (a far cry from consistently doing it for 3-4 months), and it’s STILL 5 lbs short of 197. And of course I have an idea. Schon hasn’t wrestled in the 190s since at least his soph year of HS. That was 5 years ago. Every time you post on this subject you make ridiculous comments. These are are big, strong young athletes who are still physically maturing. Big time cuts are incredibly tough and rarely successful. Kudos to them for trying for the good of the team.
It went away for years and is only reborn this year. The competition isn’t very good.
