At 66 years of age I still work out 1/2 hour a day from November through the end of March on an inclined treadmill. Instead of stimulating twitch muscles, I use it to build endurance. Blowing out a knee is not a concern. The motion is all straight ahead. It allows this old man to walk 18 holes of golf pulling his cart without feeling any fatigue. No one can convince me that such conditioning would not be helpful to linemen come the 4th quarter.

Nothing like strapping a 300 LB Olineman to an incline treadmill and saying ok ready.....don't let go....and...go. More ACL and blown knees in a P5 program over a 2 year period than maybe any in history. I don't really know if the treadmills had anything to do with it but man those things just look dangerous.

It amazes me how protective some people are of offensive linemen and making sure they don't have to run too much.

Klenakis .....ran them too much... strength coach strapped them to a treadmill etc..

The fact is the isu linemen don't move very well. They are the worst screen team I have ever seen. They don't get down field at all on any play. They can't cut people because they never get any leg drive to do it.

I know treadmills are used at ever speed clinic I have seen or heard of. Here is an idea. Quit worrying about them having to run and someone find some linemen who can actually move more than two feet.

I was very critical of Paul during his last 3 years here. That said, he has moved on and we should too. Best of luck to the man. He tried to do his best here.

Good for Coach Blaney. Always likes his energy and thought he did a nice job with the lineman he had.

Does Texas State have hard hats?

of course. Didn't you see him at his last game? He was already interviewing during TV timeouts !

You guys should let it go. PR loved ISU, it didn't work out. Why must we bury coaches who are no longer here.

I agree. He was a great ambassador for isu. Not sure shy so many people want to run him him into the ground so badly. He did some good things for isu. Sure he didn't win enough, but it doesn't mean he didn't /doesn't love isu.
