Rhoads Staff

Well, there was muddling going on that Rhoads himself was going to tOSU. Not anymore, though, so to the best of my knowledge none of the current staff has turned over to a new program yet.

I have not heard of any. With that said I know it's hard for some on here to believe but Rhoads had some quality coaches on his staff who will get good jobs. Blaney coached some in the NFL and may end up doing that again.

I wish all of them the best. Regardless that they were unsuccessful here, they did their best to Iowa State.

I fail to see the humor. I hope they all find good homes for next season.

Only a ******* would do this. All of those guys have families. A couple just had babies in the last month or so.

Some of you guys are very protective of these guys, I thank them for their time and efforts to try to make ISU a winner. But they made plenty of money to coach football.

Sure I wish them best of luck in their coaching searches, but I'm not about to act like I care if Rhoads, Mangino, or Sturdy get another paying CFB job or not. Plus we all know Wally retired. I highly doubt any of them are going hungry tonight. I'm onto Campbell, his staff, and what is going on with ISU athletics right now.

With all these coaching changes happening this season I would doubt they all get iced out. Heck, Toledo is going to need several and I'd guess North Texas would be in the same boat. I'd guess Sturdy or Shane would be the most likely to land elsewhere first. Mess is employed currently and someone decided he was qualified to coordinate the recruiting of the offensive side of the ball... everyone on staff at the end of last year should easily be able to find a spot considering that.

If you're not interested, exit the thread and move on to another then. Some enjoy following where coaches go, some have known members of the staff personally, some are just curious.

I'd be surprised if Shane ends up anywhere but the southeast or east coast, to move his daughters close to the rest of the family. I don't know the backgrounds of many of the others without looking it up, but they'll land on their feet.

On another note, I hope if Curtis Bray's family chooses to stay in Ames that they are welcomed and embraced by the new staff. His wife and daughter are heavily involved in the youth gymnastics program in Ames, his son is close to many of the current players, and they were regular visitors to the facilities even after Curtis' passing. I also wouldn't be surprised if they move closer to home either, now that the staff Bray worked with is mostly gone.

Kind of what I was thinking nobody is hurting for money and people should be "All in" for CMC his face value is worlds better than CPR.

While the comment may have been distasteful, there's still no particular reason to look at it quite like this -- it's not like any of these guys are living below the poverty line at this point if they just got out of an assistant job here.

They will all find work elsewhere if they so choose.

Ok, I kid you not I was about to write "spare me the you could've ignore the thread" comments.

I guess I should've left it in for you.

Never did I say you can't follow where our former coaches go BikeSki, just pointing out the ridiculousness of us Cyclone fans acting like we must care that they in fact do end up getting paying jobs next year. Rhoads has 4.5 mil for getting fired. He doesn't need another job for the rest of his life...so I can open this thread and post how if these guys don't end up finding work then we ISU faithful shouldn't be heartbroken one bit. It's called opinions, it is what makes us who we are and it is why we post here, but you know...you could've just ignored my comment or the thread altogether and commented elsewhere.
