Does anyone have a reverse osmosis system in your house? If so, what kind, and who did you have install it.

Used to have a whole house system from Rainsoft that included a filtration system, water softener, and RO to the fridge & kitchen sink. Really liked it, and even moved it once from Johnston to Omaha, but ended up selling it with the house in Omaha.

Yes Xenia just released a statement that they use Boone water and the nitrate levels are above the allowed limit for the EPA. They recommend that you don't allow infants to drink the water because it can kill them.

I'm interested in this one as well, from the rural perspective. We have a well and a system that is probably 15+ years old. It is no longer performing well, and we're looking to possibly replace it or switch over to Xenia. I really don't want to pay for water again, though...I'd rather stay with our well. We contacted the company that did the original installation, and they weren't interested in scheduling what they thought was a "maintenance" trip "way out there". They didn't perk up until we mentioned overhauling and/or replacing the current system. By then it was too late...they'd already ticked us off.

I sure hope this doesn't affect Boone's Farm wines.

What the hell r u talking about? And why is Alaska involved??? Is this a WMD? OH $hit!!!

I recommend using US Waters. I am a rep for a manufacturing company and use them for our RO systems and they do a great job.

I'm thoroughly frightened and confused too. That's why I'm hoping for no problems with Boone's Farm.
