I could see Kansas only losing 1 or 2 more games, thats why last night's game was so important. Predictions are showing the outright winner at 13-5 and co-champs at 12-6.

I was feeling a lot more encouraged about KU’s streak ending til I looked at their remaining schedule. Their road schedule is easier (mixed feelings on Tech) and they won’t lose at the Phog. ISU has to play at KState and Texas, yuck. Unpopular opinion but I could still see KU winning or sharing the crown, double yuck!

Yeah you'd have to be crazy to count them out. Literally every game for ISU is a must win in my opinion to sniff the title.

Starting to look like a team is going to have to 14-4 to win the league outright, with 13-5 getting you a share. We need to finish with no more than 2 losses to have a chance. We will have to hold the home court and steal a win at either KSU or Texas.

Literally every game is a must win to sniff the title? No, that’s not true.

It’s a lock that we will win the title if we win every game. Assuming it’s not to KSU, we can easily drop a game and still have a great chance (strong sniff, nearly licking) of winning the title. Dropping two games becomes more sniff territory, particularly if one is to KSU. Drop three and we need significant help.

I agree I thought KU's string would end but after seeing everyones schedule I think the streak will probably continue....

While the KU schedule isn't daunting from a position standpoint, four of their final eight are on the road, where they are 1-6 in true road games this year. Additionally, two of the home games are against KSU and Baylor. That isn't a cake walk.

This is a good analysis and clearly shows why KSU had to beat KU on Monday.

Although the Top6 versus Bottom4 provides insight, let's not forget that OU and TCU still have some teeth. I bet those teams together get at least a couple of wins against a Top6 team, maybe 3 wins.

Love the fact that we get a week after Saturday to prep for showdown @KSU.

This is a good break down...

I think that it will likely be 1+ teams with 5 losses sharing the title. unfortunately, I think kansas could go 7-1 (only loss to @tech), and be right there to share a piece of the title... again. but there is hope... they can absolutely lose to anyone on the road... so, it will be interesting.

imho, for ISU (or anyone else) to be the lone champ I think they will need to get to 14-4... 13-5 feels like a split title.. we'll see

I think KU still has two road loses in them tech and either OU or TCU. They have been bad on the road. You can see they don't have the confidence and they are getting gassed out there in games. They don't have their bye until after they play tech again.

KSU has probably 3 more losses in them not counting the ISU game. If ISU can win the game at KSU then they will will the title out right. If not they probably share it with KSU and will have the two seed.

I also believe KU will lose 2 more on the road. They are 1-6 and those mid-tier schools will be clamoring at a home W against KU for tourney/bubble implications. They'll show up. Surely enough between Tech, TCU, and OU they'll drop 2. Not saying Morgantown is an easy place to play, but WVU is BAD, and they lost there. We really need to win one of @ KSU or @ Texas where other teams haven't had much success if we want to take the title.

If K-State wins at Baylor Sat. and defeats us at their house, then they would be in the driver's seat. Although they do have to play at KU and Texas yet.

KSU winning was big.

I think it comes down to which of the KSU/KU/ISU trio has the most “surprise” upset losses in the next month. KU has an anomalous loss already. At one time it looked like ISU had one at Baylor, but that’ll depend on how KU and KSU do in Waco against a Clark-less Baylor (horrible luck). The KSU loss at home may be considered one.
