Redskins Yes or no

Should be the Washington Warriors IMO. Use the old spear head logo. Keep the colors. Move on with our petty lives.

Having more than one team with the same name across major sports (e.g., San Francisco/New York Giants, Arizona/St. Louis Cardinals) is a pet peeve of mine. I find it annoying they could not be more original somehow.

We already have a Golden State Warriors, and they keep the "Warriors" thing pretty generic and base their iconography (in quite the fetching fashion, I will add) around the bridges we all use to define SF and the Bay Area in our heads.

Going from Redskins to "Warriors" but keeping up the Native American warrior imagery and the same colors for the team... not sure if FedEx or Nike are going to like such a halfway change like that. Better to move away from that entirely now.

Redwolves has some promise as well. It's pretty innocuous, and apparently there's some geographic accuracy to it as well.

**** their expedience. So tired of bending over for big business. I am fine with your critique but not if it's because it won't make our overlords happy.

The fans in the NFL are not the customers. They are the products.

The ones buying the ad time and paying for sponsorship are the customers.

Remember that old saying about how often a customer is correct...?

You might not like it (and I do not, either), but it is the way of the world. So many complaints about capitalism are not really about capitalism but really about not liking what customers actually want compared to what you think they should want.

FedEx and Nike are the ones calling the shots here.

I mean, I think that's obvious. Doesn't make it any less stupid. People don't have any fight left in them. Also, if people stop watching your model is fubar.

Nothing forces anybody to go to games, buy merch, or watch them on TV.
Doesn't mean we need to name the field, the stadium, the first commercial break, the mascot, etc etc etc into corporate adds. When does this capitalist insanity ever stop?

My Bills are splitting from New Era and with that, will have to rename the stadium.

Owners want $$$.

Players want $$$.

They are very friendly to new revenues sources.

It's a business, not a civic institution (outside of the Packers).

It's much different than it was in the 60's. Anything for a buck. I don't need a lesson in why they do it, I still despise it none the less.

Agreed. From a PR standpoint, it would be a home run. It also sounds cool.
Yeah I like it too and really rolls off the tongue, Washington Redtails. The only problem is it reminds me of the term Redass. Of which I am a confirmed example. So not sure if I should be offended or not.

There is an easy solution to this that still maintains the "Skins".
The Washington Foreskins.
