RECRUITING: Michael Jacobson has committed

The nice thing about sit out transfers, they're about the only ones you can count on that will be on your team in 2 years anymore. Welcome Mike.

Even that's no guarantee, Kasongo for example was a sit-out transfer who was on the team for 1 year

Big Mike is exactly what the staff hoped Ernst/Carter could of developed into and he has already produced at the P5 level unlike Kasongo. He's already established himself as a good rebounder and if he's able to improve his offensive game during the sit out year that is a bonus. Great start to #GritWeek2017 for Coach Prohm.

This infographic is the real reason Nebraska even has a basketball program. It's so their fans can get off to the gains their hoops players make in the Boyd Epley Performance Index each year.

Did it ever occur to your brilliant little mind that I was making a play on words, and that I know very well that Jacobson doesn't play Jordan's position? Michael Jacobson's initials are MJ.... get it yet??
Well played!

6 ppg in the big 10 is equivalent to 13 ppg in any other conference

I do wonder what kind of numbers our sit out transfers can put up in 2018-19. Jacobson was being used the wrong way and had bad coaching. Shayok comes from good coaching just a very low scoring system.

Glad to land a proven rebounder. But why in the world do so many people care about getting kids from Iowa?
IMO, I think having Iowa kids adds more interest around the state. He said he's got lots of family and friends in Waukee, some of them might be Hawk fans that will now start watching the good guys.

More importantly we finally have a post player who is 6'10" plus/minus a couple inches.

Jacobson is a great get IMO. He's a solid 4th/5th scoring threat and provides insurance if Lard or Young don't develop as planned. He also allows for a HS recruit like Race Thompson time to develop as a true frosh.

That pic of him on the front page playing against Creighton makes him look like Woodbury. Sorry MJ, I didn't post that pic.
