Give us credit. I don’t think anybody has said he needs to hit the weight room to be ready to play in a couple of years yet.

Monte did the same thing and he's still playing quality minutes in the NBA playoffs.
I checked Caleb's twitter feed. He retweeted the welcome messages from Niang, Monte, THT, Jamie Pollard and Breece Hall (same high school? Seem to know each other). And from a certain Green Bay Packers receiver with this awesome tidbit:

Pretty excited about this. Happy prohm proved me wrong and reeled in a tier 1 target this spring. Now hope we can get some immediate help for next year. Think grill will take at least a year to break into the rotation, we need someone battle tested and ready. Yes, I know, I'm never satisfied
Their school districts (Wichita Northwest and Maize) are adjacent to each other. I think there was a mention in a previous thread that Caleb and Breece spent some time together when Caleb visited.
I was curious to see what Otzelberger said about Grill when he signed with South Dakota State:
“Caleb is an electric scorer who can knock down the 3-point shot or finish with authority at the rim. He’s a phenomenal passer and takes tremendous pride in making plays for his teammates.”

Maybe it's always like this, but there's a ton of "activity" on the Men's BB twitter account. Even an opposing coach made a comment under Gottlieb's comment. Really neat thing to see and just sort of solidifies the family feel to the program.

Ahh, well I don't know Gunner, but I was one to fall for it. It's hard to honestly interpret sarcasm on this board when you see people being 100% serious with face palm statements. There are people who are legitimately doom and gloom nonstop, so I wasn't putting it past him to be serious.

Has anybody posted this - Mr. Grill can elevate. Look how he clears this bar:
Grill's 247 comp just updated, he's #164 which is the top recruit in our class
Our ratings are odd this year. I think Jackson is our most proven guy, Leech has the highest ceiling by far, and Grill and Anderson are guys who I love the thought of having on the roster for 4 years. All really good recruits who fit together in a class really nicely and could all be on the floor at the same time.
247 had him at a 79 and Rivals re-ranked him early in the week (in the top 150). Those two increases landed him here. He was grossly underrated.
In other words, they've probably never seen him play, but he has several P5 offers now, and committed to a P5 school so they bumped his ranking up.
