No dif than UNC using Jordan all the time.

I didn't think of the non-affiliation thing, but it is different than Michael Jordan with UNC. Jordan is an alumni, which I believe would e considered a booster by NCAA standards. I'm sure he could still talk with a recruit, but would have to be much more careful in his contact since he'd be a booster. Of course, not in this case, since UNC can corruptly get away with murder with no punishment at all, but, you know, in normal situations.

Who was it that said we'd have the best backcourt in the nation if we got Long and the kid from illinois? I honestly don't know who said it but I hate that kind of rah rah stuff that's based on pure fantasy and wishful thinking.

This is the air our grievenaces thread, right?

It was josh4cyclones. He says lots of silly things. I think he's big daddy Kane's little brother.

Where do we actually stand with Kostas? He's probably one of the least talked about recruits despite him having an All Star NBA brother and an actual offer from us.

Jordan is a UNC booster so yeah it is different. UNC using Jordan would have to count as an official contact. It is like when Ashton Kutcher met with Iowa recruits and they got reprimanded. I know UNC supposedly does it but I am sure that he must use very non direct language about unc. Otherwise not sure how he does it.
