Recruit Lists v2.0

If BDJ doesn't commit after a visit I hope they can get in on House from Houston. Actually both of the Houston players looking to transfer are good.

I am of the opinion that there were weren't any other real "targets" besides Vaughn and the plan was always see what Vaughn does, if he comes, go get some transfers, if he doesn't come, go get some transfers. Stick with the gameplan.

You don't think Jaylen Johnson was a real target?

Looks like Mack has decided to stay. I assume with a bump in pay. So ends the possibility of Macura and O'Mara re opening thier commitments.

@GoodmanESPN: Chris Mack staying with Xavier, sources told ESPN. Story coming:

Jaylen was a real target at the time Fred was looking for a post to pair with Niang after Ejim left. That role was filled after J. McKay transfered in (who wasn't in play at the time of JJ's commitment to L'ville).
I think McKay commiting also played a role on Cunningham cooling on ISU.

I don't think so. The Cunningham thing had other things going on. It was interesting that he was all ready to pull the trigger with Bradley and then all sorts of things started happening.

We had a lot of other "real targets" besides Vaughn. We missed out on a lot of high school kids but still filled the needs we were targeting (assuming we land an eligible 2 guard for this upcoming year)

Let's just say stars don't guarantee or preclude a player from being good or bad, but over time recruiting players with more stars will be better.

If you give me a 20 sided die, and you get a 6 sided one we can roll once and you can beat me, but roll 100 times and I'm guaranteed to win.

Neither of those points is really arguable either. Let's leave it at that.

I see it as more as 6 sided vs 7, but I generally agree.

Let's not kid ourselves, better recruits = NC. Look at Kentucky. They were awful early in the year. Then the B-league pro team finally catches up and says alright its time to be better athletes.

I think the gap is much wider than that. Maybe not to 20, but it might not be far off.

ISU has had one 9 win season ever. In like 100 years. Doesn't Nebraska have like 4 or 5 straight? And their recruiting isn't even all that elite.

Was stalking Matt A on twitter and saw he recently followed 2015 recruit from IWCC Darien Williams.

Clicked on Williams twitter, and his profile says Headed to Iowa State in the biography. Any news on this? His picture is with ISUISU

@TravisHines21: Darien Williams ('15) of Iowa Western Community College has committed to Iowa State, he tells the Ames Tribune.

Well this is a little concerning for ISU's chances for Ellenson.

@phillipshoops: RT @WisBBYearbook: Duke has offered a scholarship to Rice Lake junior forward Henry Ellenson.

He's been pretty quiet, but I haven't heard anything to suggest we are a top contender right now. I'd guess Wisky or Duke pretty confidently.
