Any real chance of landing him? I know next to nothing about him.

I wouldn't be surprised if we made the cut but he's apparently got a top 3 of Mizzou, KU and Florida. Matt was his lead recruiter so I wouldn't be surprised if we got cut either

I never really felt that strongly about him coming here for some reason. We've got playing time on our side for 2016 don't discount that as the best recruiting pitch.

Matt was "almost" the lead for every recruit. If we go by that, and we're eliminated by all of the 2016's because of Matt leaving, then 2016 has struggle written all over it. I prefer hoping that the new staff can still build on those relationships, even though 2015 Williams obviously (and probably Monk, Yakwe, and a few others) may have removed us from their radar. But like many on here have said, perhaps those were the shooting for the stars types, idk.

The good news is that Amir Coffey came out and said Fred is the reason he is considering ISU. Once Fred is healthy I'm sure he will be back out there, reaching out to these 2016 guys. Meanwhile, TJ has been working on his own guys and undoubtedly is building relationships with the guys we already have offers out to. Guys like Yakwe and Monk may be casualties through the coaching switch, but who knows.

The only chance Yakwe has to have a college basketball experience or atmosphere anywhere close to the OU game he attended will be if he actually comes to ISU. He need to know that experience is unique, and there is at least one game a year where Hilton rocks louder than anywhere in college basketball.

Oh, I agree. But, we have numerous occasions where a recruit has had an amazing atmosphere/experience in Hilton and in the end, it didn't seem to matter. You think it would be more of a factor, but it hasn't showed much in the results.

Duke/ Carolina says hello along with many more big college rivalries.

Don't we have a coach (Tim Mannix) from Yakwe's AAU program? That has to be worth something...

Definitely need to keep an eye on these Iowa kids. Yes, we are going to be involved along with EIU on any good Iowa players, but I have confidence that we'll get the best ones and articles like this show that recruits love the style of play, coaching, etc that ISU offers. Always a good thing when both sides have good levels of interest.

Iowa State along with Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Florida and Virginia make the cut for St. Louis 2016 forward Tyler Cook, he announces.

If he wants to go to a program that doesn't suck it sounds like it's down to us, Arkansas, Florida and Virginia. This kid would be a huge boost for 2016. Feel better about our chances with KU out of it

Pretty much what I was thinking...4 good schools, his home state school...and Iowa.
