Already reported, but nice to see we are getting in on a lot of kids first.

Looks like currently, he's a 6'7" small forward out of Rochester, Minnesota.

Is our new recruiting plan to try to offer guys Fran would normally go after? Not sure how I feel about this strategy.

I'd agree except it's class of 18. If after a year it turns out they suck we can always pull the offer. If they blossom and rise up the rankings we have the inside track.

An unranked kid from Iowa city, an kid from Wisconsin with offers from IUPUI, Green Bay and Portland, a kid from Muscatine. These are the kinds of kids Iowa brings in, not what a preseason top 10 team goes after.

Both King and the kid from IC are class of '17.

NOOOOOOOO.

@GiveNGobball: Miles Bridges, a Class of 2016 SF playing for The Family (MI), just picked up an offer from Kentucky.

Kentucky offers almost every single top 25 kid. So does KU. If we are recruiting a top 25 kid. Just assume ku and uk will offer. This kid is Michigan states to lose anyway in my opinion.

I think there are some big boys sniffing around that kid from muscatine. Including Kansas. I have some friends close(ish) to the situation. I have no problem with us offering that kid at all.

We've got a ton of early offers out to kids where we see potential. If they don't pan out to be Big 12 caliber, we won't be bringing them on. But I guess it's never too early to *****

Rankings for kids this young isn't nearly as relevant. Some have barely been evaluated.

Agree. But I hope he still has his Brewster connections. That's key. Two all time great Cyclones came from Brewster. Brackins and Ejim. Sure wish we could have seen Brackins playing Hoiball. Travesty.
