He only played 16 minutes in 12-13 so it's very likely he could get a 6th year medical hardship waiver and be able to play two more seasons in 15-16 and 16-17.

I doubt he is a candidate for a medical hardship.

In the 12-13 season from the article I read it sounds like he left due to not seeing eye to eye with the Northern Iowa coaching staff. When was his injury?

Ah I just assumed he was injured. I'm a little off on this whole topic. Ha. I'm just gonna stop talking for now.

I posted this mainly to show when transfers have committed. Hoiberg has signed 1 in March, 4 in April, 4 in May, 1 in June, 1 in July, 1 in August, and 2 in December.

So what youre saying is everyone can relax a little bit, between the coaching change and Fred's surgery.....no need to be in panic mode. Got it

As for the live period, the Cyclones are expected to drop in on Minneapolis, Lexington and Louisville, per multiple sources. Also, with Hoiberg laid up recovering from heart surgery, director of player development Nate Loenser will be able to go out recruiting for ISU.

Minneapolis is playing host to NY2LA’s Spring Extravaganza. ISU targets such as Iowa City West and Iowa Barnstormer point guard Devonte Lane and Stevens Point, Wisc. and Wisconsin Academy forward Sam Hauser, a recent ISU offer, will be playing.

Lexington is the spot for the EYBL this week, which hosts about a bijillion (approximate) ISU targets, including Miles Bridges, Cassius Winson, Tyler Cooke and a host of others.

Louisville has the Under Armour Association tournament this weekend which has a number of programs ISU has recruited from in the past, though the most notable will be KC RUN GMC, which has Mitchell Ballock, who appears to be an emerging priority in 2017 for ISU.

According to @ChrisMWilliams Iowa State has offered Kostas Antetokounmpo...the younger brother of THE Greek Freak. That's exciting.

The younger Antetokounmpo lives in Milwaukee with the Greek Freak, thus the Otzelberger connection.
