really?

He'll probably be used in a role over the course of the rest of the season that's generally significant. He may not be, and in that case we did waste a redshirt.

And your sentence said "we don't know how good he is/isn't" referring to Tyler Brown. What does that even mean. Rhoads should play somebody so fans can find out if he's good or not?

Well yes, so fans can find out, but also so coaches can see how a guy handles a game and not just a practice.

Because he's a true freshman that has probably been improving as he has gotten more practice and passed other guys he was behind.
Then why was he told the week leading up to the Iowa game that he would get playing time this year? Why not use him against Iowa? Why not list him on the depth chart before Standard left?

I like Syria, but I don't get the timing. It sounds like this was supposed to happen all along, yet nobody expected him to play tonight except maybe Syria and the staff.

the fact that Sam Richardson leads the team in rushing is ridiculous, I thought we were going to have 2 good RB's this year, guess not

By the fact that this is a relevant explanation to you proves anything you say should be dismissed.

Yup just ignore the second part of that quote. Just like you ignore how bad we looked tonight and point out that "it's been worse in the past!" Maybe be everything you say should be dismissed ...

link?

It's worth pointing out that a 21 point loss to a top 10 team isn't all that bad compared to some of the ***-kickings in school history.
Really? I liked you until this comment.

If our goal is just to be slightly better than the very worst in program history, we will always be successful.

The second part had some logic. The first part was just funny. Please go read your posts when you're thinking clearly. If you are thinking clearly right now, I'm very concerned.

Also, we lost by 21 points to a top 10 team. Do you realize how many times we've lost by more to much worse teams? Based on the history of this program, it's really hard to complain about tonight.

If the kid is ready to play get him on the field. He looked like the best back out there tonight, he moved the pile instead of falling down when getting touched.

I never said that should be our goal. But keep in mind this program lost by more than this four times last season to teams that our arguably not as good as this one. There were two loses by 21 points or more in 2012, and three in 2011.

I don't know what the rest of this season will bring, but if this game ends up being our worst loss, which it very well might, it's actually better than what we are used too.

I don't like losing either, but putting this loss in perspective to some I honestly can't complain all that much.

I feel bad for you. Really I do. I'm sure you were given participation ribbons and trophies your whole life and have come to accept that "try your hardest" bull****. If your hardest isn't good enough, get better. Simple as that. It's year SIX of the Rhoads era and we went from beating the number 2 team to being content with a 21 point loss to a number 7 team. That my friend, is regression.

We just got stomped at home for the second time this season and it's still September. I understand that Baylor is a great team, I just have a hard time not being frustrated by this. In all fairness I fully expected to be 1-3 at this point. However I also fully expect us to end up 3-9 or 4-8. I don't think it's crazy for fans to expect more than they've seen this year.

The same year we beat the number two team in the country we also lost 52-17 to an unranked Missouri team.

Tonight's problems were not due to scheme, lack of effort, or anything along those lines. They were just better.

If I'm going to blame the staff for anything it's recruiting, but going into tonight we knew they had more talent than we did. That's why I'm not upset. If I thought we had similar talent and had a chance to win the game, then I'd probably be mad.

I don't understand what you're saying here. Are you saying you expected us to win tonight? I mean I'm frustrated too, but I didn't think we'd win.

It's pretty clear that you've had a few drinks tonight.

I understand what you're saying. We'll have to agree to disagree on some stuff. Thank you for a civil conversation in which both of us appear to be sober.
