Really good seats left in Carver

My anxiety level gets ridiculously high when we play Iowa so I've decided I'm going to record the game and watch Brock Purdy upset the Rams. Then, assuming we win, I will watch the game afterwards.

Hoping to be up late Thursday night.
Same with the anxiety here. Might have to do the same thing. Damn fine idea.

What are some of the options for parking at Carver-Hawkeye? I realize not good. But I am getting there a little earlier.
This is from their website.

Respect the hell out of this strategy. So much so I may also partake

The surgery is in the early morning on Wednesday.

She's just not going to be very mobile (if at all) for a few days after.

I can't leave her alone with an infant for ~6 hours unable to walk much on her own or carry anything.

No nanny?

Same here. Unfortunately the anxiety is there too watching Brock to a lesser degree. Taping it as well but I will have to check the score on my phone from time to time. Fingers crossed.

Taking my high school aged son who mentioned the other day that he has been to Washington DC more than he's been to Iowa City. Been to DC twice and had a track meet in Iowa City last year. I took that as a positive on our parenting. Not that I felt the need to tie that up, but we have enjoyed some road trips to Omaha (Creighton) and Kansas City (Big 12 tourney) for ISU games. Decided to make another road trip.

So lot 65, the biggest one, has one way in and out? Screw that.
I was told by a Hawkeye women's season ticket holder that lot 65 is the place to park. Taking the southern entrance (not on the map) via Melrose and Finkbine Golf Course / Club House is the way to go. Leaving that same way is the quickest way to get out of Iowa City and head west towards DSM after the game.

No nanny?

No. We've actually scraped by without a nanny or daycare so far --

I had ~3.5 months off paternal leave after her birth

I work a 9-5 but from home so I can be... flexible (e.g., going to work on something for an hour or two now after finishing this post to "adjust" for a few "interruptions" during the workday)

My wife works random days/times so is home many workdays during the day to watch her

Relying on family as babysitters (my whole family is in Boone or the Des Moines suburbs)

Her sister is a teacher, so she had the summer off and lived with us/helped

Hence why I don't have a fallback to cover for me dashing off to Iowa City. I used my "big one" on a trip to Dallas last weekend and, yeah, the football squad didn't make that one worth it.

Was in CHA for our son’s graduation in May. Ceremony was a joke! Had to park west of Kinnick. What a stupid parking setup they have. I have no plans to ever step into that cesspool again!

Someone should tweet back why would ISU fans want to give the Iowa AD any money?
It says a lot more about how horrible of an experience it is to go to any games in IC. Terrible parking, terrible fans that treat you like s**t, etc …. otherwise maybe more ISU fans would go.

The prices sound reasonable and it would be awesome to have a noticeable Cyclone fan presence on Thursday night. Living these days in Houston, TX and with work conflicts this week, I regrettably will not be attending. I will be on hand for the U of H game down here in February, same as last year. Looking forward to be back in Ames for a couple games in the coming weeks. Go Cyclones!

I’m not seeing how these are reasonable prices. I’ve been watching but they are just way too expensive to have to drive all the way over to Carver and deal with that. For as many seats as there are available I think prices are actually really high.
