Just focusing solely on the bottom line so Iowa fans can squawk about how much more money their AD gets than the rest. But it does nothing to make their fan experience any better.

How about negotiating the ability for every school to pick the kickoff time slot of its homecoming game (or one game per year at the school's option)? Maybe some reasonable limit on hosting weeknight games, like once every 3 years or something? Letting schools opt out of the 3rd or 4th home 11:00am kickoff of the season (or the 3rd or 4th night game)? I'm sure there are more things like this that a very wealthy league like the B1G could have negotiated in exchange for a drop in the bucket reduction in their media contract.

But they just focus on the bottom line.
A lot of that gets negotiated as far as the time slots go. I think that’s actually a very minor issue (personally) obv some will have that as a major concern. I personally love Friday night games so for me that’s a huge plus.

I’d rather see things like controlling concessions costs, lower student tickets, or making something like BTN+ free.

I know this would never happen but controlling number and length of ads would be great. It had a noticeable effect on the NFL's watchability.

The NFL still has a ton of ads but you are right they are regulated, most people I know still complain about the ads but with redzone and quad box it’s a lot less noticeable

Uh wasnt that part of their new mega deal, that they will have games on Friday nights... And isnt the B1G all about everyone is and gets equal. No special treatment no unequal revenue (if you are a long standing member, new members not so much).

But now Nebby wants special treatment. LMFAO. Gee, our B1G friends said no one would dare ask for any special treatment in the B1G, cuz they are all equals. :otz:

You mean how they purposely keep changing the rules of the game... to shorten them... Then fill all the extra time with more ads. Continuous clock etc.

CFB keeps making it worse all the time. I have a feeling the new 2 min timeout was pushed by the media companies too, to give them another commercial break.

Yeah and notice how nebby will get told to sit down and shut up the way they always do in the big ten. They can ask all they want same as I can ask for a threesome with Sydney Sweeny and Ana de Armas, just makes the one asking look stupid when it has no chance of happening

I believe some of you on here have repeatedly said no one will ever ask, because they are all so happy. You have said no one would ever ask for an unequal revenue share. This just shows that some may not be as content as you believe.

Will they ever do something like unequal revenue? No idea. But the idea that no school will ever ask for it or even consider it, is hilarious.

When you have all these big ego schools together in one conference someone is bound to try to pull rank at some point. Schools like Texas, Nebby, USC, Oregon, Ohio St. Etc have all had a history of doing just that, thinking they will never do it again is hilarious.

Asking to not play on Fridays and asking for unequal revenue is so wildly different you are seriously grasping. I get you were hurt before so you look at everyone else and think the same thing will happen but my man this is a reach. Unlike what happened before nebby will be told to **** off if they are even lucky enough to be given a response

Its cute that you think schools like Texas, Nebby, USC, OSU, etc will suddenly become someone different than what they have been forever. But good luck with that.

Good thing we don’t have to deal with Texas, OSU hasn’t ever really caused problems, USC I’m guessing your talking about leaving the PAC, but with that leadership and stupidity running the conference who wouldn’t if given the opportunity

OSU didnt have the conference completely change their rules multiple times to benefit them and only them in 2020? I seem to remember differently than you.

You mean during a once in a lifetime global pandemic where the conference was legit making things up as they went? Sure. But unlike this board the vast majority of people don’t even count 2020 as a season with all the chaos. Maybe in the south they did but you and I have done this dance before.

Look, I dont know if any of these schools will ever get the special treatment they desire. I agree with you that it is a long shot that the rest of the conference will agree to it.

But, I also dont believe that these schools that have a history of being egomaniacs and believe they are more important than some other schools wont consider pushing the issue. Whether it ever gets agreed upon, no idea. But these schools have a history of pushing the issue. Just like FSU and Clemson are currently in the ACC, to which it appears the ACC is willing to give in to.

What I can say is never say never, because when you do, you will be proven wrong more times than not.

That’s extremely fair. I’m also extra feisty today due to a rough couple days but yeah that point is very valid

Did OSU require special treatment, that no one else got? Regardless. Did Nebby get that treatment? Did Iowa? Were all schools dealing with the same things? Or just OSU?

I would not say "Most" on this board dont count 2020. I believe the majority here count our NY6 win that year. But there are some out there that believe our accomplishments that year mean more because we managed the issues that year better than others. Its not like everyone in the country didnt have the same challenges, so those that managed them better than others came out on top, except OSU that got special treatment and rules changed to benefit only them.

I meant that people not on this board don’t count 2020, I am very aware of how much this board values that season and I would to in your shoes.

If Nebraska becomes a problem for the B1G(they won’t), then they probably would have no problem kicking them out lol. Asking to not play Fridays doesn’t mean the B1G has no choice but to listen. Doesn’t hurt to ask. N is for knowledge.
