Scheer is a respected journalist.
Mhver is basically the dude of WV. Throw every possible combination against the wall then when something happens that fits that combination, he can say told ya so.
Almost 3 years ago to the date, he said the Pac 12 presidents unanimously agreed to merge with the big 12.
Look at Scheer and Mwhvers twitter. Compare the 2.
One has his real name, picture and credentials listed.
The other, a bunch of fake pictures, no credentials, and a fake name.
One has real connections, one claims to but has no credibility.
Mvher may be the most connected person in the conference, but no one will ever know and no one will ever believe he is, because he is a fake.
He may have been right 1 time or 2 but he has been wrong a LOT, he is the definition of throwing **** at the wall to see what sticks.
Hell Swaim has more credibility than Mhver and that is not much.
May be thinking after the ACC blows up that the PAC2 can hook up with the 4-6 leftovers there and create a tweener conference between P2 and big 12 and G5.
That discord guy is unknown I believe for recruiting and he’s certainly well connected. Not saying mhver is.
A lot of journalists sit on information until it’s confirmed by multiple sources. Also because things change, and they get called frauds for sharing something that’s on the table if it doesn’t happen.
MHver is QAnon for realignment. Always some master plan happening behind the scenes... always plugged in to every development but with a slight plausible deniability or lack of clarity that allows him to back out when it proves wrong - but then there's another new twist that only he can provide. All the while, feeding the egos of Big 12 fans, because everything he "reports" is good for us.
Their best available move is to reverse merge with the Mtn West. Take all of those schools into the Pac-12 and retain the branding with 14 teams. Hope it gives them more prestige and cache that way.
I really do not at all care about his pictures in his bio on Twitter. Of course he’s not a journalist. Why does he have to be? Gun to my head (and making absolutely 0 effort to dig through his Twitter post history) I would say he’s been “right” more than just a couple times. And honestly, what is even “right” in realignment? Sh*t literally changes by the hour. And there are endless different stakeholders and players and administrators involved in all this sh*t, with about 1 million different opinions and a Mount Everest of nuance (to every single shred of ‘truth’). If he’s fake and has 0 sources, my goodness - what an effort!
I appreciate anyone’s willingness to share info. I find it all fascinating.
He’s not right. Hes full of ****. He takes bits and pieces of truthiness and fabricates enough stuff that eventually he will be kinda right sometimes and then people forget all the stuff he got completely wrong. He has zero first hand sources. I can’t believe people still fall for his account
I mean, fiction writers like writing their stuff too. They also are great at making up stories that fit into reality and that could very much be real.
He likes to pretend he is someone that has all the sources and enjoys the clicks and clout his stories give him.
But he in no way wants to actually put a name on his stories because it would more than likely out him as a fraud.
Unless you're betting on the outcomes, it's still fun to read about these 'heresays' and 'theories'. I say keep them coming, but continue to put them in context.
Not to mention he, like all of us these days, are puppets in a bigger scheme.

So, you can't entertain the thought that people could be fed false information to distract from a more private narrative, or that the information they're fed is to motivate negotiation in another area, or a plethora of other possibilities?
The idea that some tight cabal is pulling strings behind the scenes is a convenient way for people to wrap their heads around the reality that the world is a giant, random, ******* mess and no one really controls any of it.
We're just hurtling through space and **** happens.
