Pods.
1. WVU, Cinn., ISU, UCF
2. Utah, BYU, Arz., arz state
3. TCU, Baylor, colo, TT
4. Kstate Kansas, OSU, Houston
Not a huge fan of this. I can see this only if the teams rotate in some way. For example, why would ISU have to play WV and UCF all the time in a pod such as this? It doesn't seem fair.
That or what the big 10 is doing by having certain teams "rivals" you play every year and rotating the rest
Makes more sense. Our natural rivals (what's left) are KU, KSU, OSU.

Gotta get into TX and fla some though, but otherwise I'd agree.

Wow. Try Googling just about any PAC 12 school's financial situation and it soon becomes obvious that most of them are serious financial trouble already. What is going to happen to them if the PAC 12 implodes and they get an even worse streaming deal? WSU, ASU, Wash, UCLA (which is getting bailed out by joining the B1G) and of course Cal which will still be paying off their stadium until at least 2053 are all running huge deficits already.
I posted here before but Arizona has over 50 mil worth of “internal” loans to pay back

Would love to know what the shenanigans were.
According to reddit "Basically, he argued that Zona was moving too fast and that the benefits for ASU of being associated with Stanford and Cal may be greater than difference in TV money. Not a crazy position, since research and tuition revenue dwarf athletics."

I feel even more strongly now that if the Arizona BOR is willing to let UA do its own thing separate from ASU, then the B12 should take UA and stop at 14 (at least for now). All kinds of negative energy from both UU and ASU at this point, who needs that? Let them feel full of themselves in the Mountain West.

Wow. So now we’re gonna take Arizona, UCONN, and stop. After UOWA go to the B1G it will be fun who grovels the most

I’m kind of feeling that way also. They going be a bunch of feet draggers and always being negative when things need to move forward. Feel like all the colleges in big 12 have the same objectives now for the most part.

Yeah, but you can also schedule it so that you are regularly playing in Texas and Florida

I've seen a few posts on here too. Not so much in the last couple days as the current situation became more really.

Stay classy everyone.

There has been some disdain towards Utah, but that is mainly because they've been acting like they are 2 good for the B12. I've seen nothing but sympathy for OSU and WSU

It's not really about their fans (or president) or our fans that matter. It's what is best for the Big 12 in the long run.

I think ASU and UU could both be good for the Big 12. Once they realize they are more stable, and maybe in the case of ASU, put a little more into their athletic programs (especially BB), perhaps move on to a different President(?), develop some rivalries, it could improve a great deal. They also would need to have some time to adapt to this very new situation.

Thankfully I think BY will be able to sort through much of this and be able to see the longer picture.

Some regionality, some rivalry, and periodic but regular rotation.

It will be interesting to see the various ideas.

I have a few interesting questions, maybe deserves its own thread but let’s give it a shot.

In a mythical world where the rest of the PAC stays together, who has the recruiting advantage based solely on conference, UA or ASU?

If we get to 16 teams (maybe even now at 14) will the Big 12 get 2 teams in the playoff each year?
