I posted here before but Arizona has over 50 mil worth of “internal” loans to pay back

So, basically, they too are 'being dragged across the finish line'. Has anyone, for comparison, Googled the B12 financial situation? Remember 'debt' can largely be influenced by the low interest rates at the time.

CW pointed out earlier that the media budgets are really strained right now. Let's not ignore that because there is still this thing called bankruptcy. Disney is still of the mindset ESPN is a separate entity; meaning spin-off, sell, or file. That's worth keeping an eye on. Also, what will tell in the next few days are their competitors pockets. And, last but not least, the advertising market, in the end, is the REAL player in these large contracts. Mark my words, 'margins' in the advertising industry will be more important than ever. In other words, as I've said so many times before, they'll be using technology to more effectively 'target' those eyeballs that will spend.

I'm still in the just add Arizona camp.

1. Adding schools doesn't increase the payout ISU gets from the media deal. But it does decrease the amout of money ISU gets from bowl games and BBall tournament conferance payouts because that pot of money gets split more ways.

2. Right now, everyone that is here wants to be here. We just got rid of OUT. We don't need to add two schools that are going to be a pain in the ass to deal with. ASU and UU sure look like they will be that way.

6 new schools in 2 years is a lot for a conference to absorb and deal with.

Sitting at 14 or 13 and getting everyone use to working together is the smart play.

He had it -250 to survive earlier in the week. And that the Pac12 media deal would exceed the Big 12. And that no Pac school would go to the Big 12. And that all Pac schools would stick together.

The dude hasn’t been correct about a single thing.

But the CHARTS

I wouldn’t be opposed to making 15 and 16 UCONN and Gonzaga and forcing UCONN to hold their independent football status until the ACC falls apart.

Don't know how true this is, but I've seen rumors online that ASU President Crow is vying for the open Stanford President job. What a pretentious group of pricks. These guys all deserve one another. Let em rot together and stay pat at 14.

According to Nicole Auerbach, the ACC GOR penalty for leaving does not take effect if 8 teams leave at the same time. It would take coordination, but SEC (4) Big 12 (4) and B1G (2) could easily make that happen.
ACC is stuck for now, TV networks currently don't have the extra money. Once we approach 2030 I absolutely think this split and dividing up happens.

Thats a lot of collusion required, but it is certainly possible. As long as B1G and SEC dont fight over a team (with TV guys arbitrating thats doable).
And its possible the left behinds sue, but thats just money.

What are our Big 12 targets from ACC?

I’ve seen Va Tech mentioned. What would be others?

Guarantee everyone of those 8 think they should be in the B1G or $EC. No way you get four slotted for the BigXII to collude when, even though the money is better, it’s far different.
