On one hand, tailgating with BYU fans may be quite differentWhere do we stand as Cyclones?
BYU fans very likely called one of our greatest players and best human beings to wear a Cyclone uniform the N word.
Utah has spent the past year claiming every Big 12 school/town is absolute hell...yet is now is begging to join.
I'm leaning toward BYU but I could see it flip flopping. BYU has my support in the rivalry until they lose it.
People keep saying this but FSU can scream all they want and the conference can say “no”. The GOR is airtight or they would have already left.
FSU is the big baby in this trying to kick and scream to get attention but they have ZERO LEVERAGE to do anything in the short term (10 years).
Just one sixer? On one hand, tailgating with BYU fans may be quite different
On the other hand, Utah fans are on their knees begging us to forgive them.
Pass me a six pack of busch light. This one could take a while
What are they going to do? Strike? Throw games? Create havoc on live tv?It's not like they have NO leverage. ESPN gave Bevo their own network to keep from blowing up the Big 12 at one point. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Initial thought on the b1g interest in OU and WU - **** block to Big12

The four corners really will join the Big 12. Incredible.
The B1G's move will be interesting; I assume they take Oregon and Washington. But if they also take Stanford and Cal, that's 20 and you have to save a spot for Notre Dame. Do you really want to limit yourself to only three ACC schools or blow past the 24 mark? 24 already seems massive.
I'm guessing the B1G will only add UO and UW here to go to 18. Cal, Stanford, Oregon State, and Washington State will cling to the Pac-12 name and will scrounge up six G5 additions to backfill the league. Something like San Diego State, SMU, Colorado State, maybe UNLV, Tulane, and Memphis.
The B1G will be well positioned to choose five more schools plus Notre Dame whenever the ACC blows up. One of those five might be Stanford, but they can decide then.
I want us to stop with AZ. Let ASU and UU dwindle in the PAC leftovers. Honestly, who is taking them, we can grab them whenever we want. If Oregon, Washington and AZ leave, there is not enough meat on the bone for the ACC to gain merging with them. Let’s be patient
If he’s tailgating with BYU fans, he won’t need to worry about sharing.Just one sixer?
Serious question...isn't Gonzaga basketball more valuable than anything those other teams bring? I mean if I'm ESPN...wouldn't I rather have Gonzaga basketball inventory than Colrado State football UNLV football?
Or at this point would Gonzaga not want to bother messing with a sinking ship?
Arizona has had eyes for Big 12 since before USC/UCLA split. I have to wonder had PAC had proactively considered moves like Houston and Gonzaga hoops only to make up for their shortfalls if they could have at least had a chance of a stalemate with Big 12 after the USC/UCLA poaching.
It would be mildly amusing if AZ\ASU came and instead of Utah for the 16th slot we went with UConn
Maybe the regents don't let that happen.I want us to stop with AZ. Let ASU and UU dwindle in the PAC leftovers. Honestly, who is taking them, we can grab them whenever we want. That’s if they are willing to pay all 3.There is some value to this but I just think a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. You have the chance to get quality programs and have 16 schools with FOX/ESPN willing to pay them the same thing, you take it. Don't risk overthinking it and letting something unforeseen change in the future that damages your position.

Well, yeah, if they aren't then there's your answer. But if they are willing to pay for those 3 right now, you don't try to 4D chess it.That’s if they are willing to pay all 3.
