What’s the TLDR on scheers latest 247 article about the pac 12 number officially being 24 Mil on the high end and that all 4 corner schools are now aligned
Basically what has been reported.

Sounds like the guarantee money on the high end was 24.5M, but with lower incentives. There were other offers with lower guarantee money but higher incentive possibilities. 3 in total from what I have read.

Problem is this was for all streaming, none of them want all streaming, especially for low money.

You honestly think the Big 10 gives two ***** about the football value of the Big 12? Big 12 adding ORWA isn't going to increase the value to the extent where we're suddenly competing with them on that. The sole reason why the Big 10 didn't add ORWA a year ago is the PR - they don't want to look like the "bad guys" in all of this. By adding them now when the Pac 12 is about to implode they get them and get to proclaim that "they're saving them" all while villainizing the Big 12 in the process.
They aren't saving WSU, OSU, AZ ASU, UU.

That angel has no wings. But their PR machine will Photoshop them on, big and fluffy!

I haven't read it but that would be the first reasonable source I've heard report that Utah is now begging to join the Truck Stop. It was inevitable at some point. The first time they play in Ames we need truck stop jokes en masse. (just hope it goes better than the other Utah game in Ames)

I don't think ASU was ever as nuts as Utah and they've completely joined the B12 bandwagon.
Pull a half dozen Semis out front that have Welcome to the Truck stop across them!

So is Wilner, Canzano, Mandel going to go to bat for the Pac against the Big 10 or is it going to be crickets like before after USC/UCLA?

Also, it really is a shame what this realignment crap has all become. The ACC banded together and signed a super super long GOR to protect themselves and members against poachers. Now the conference is at risk to go up in smoke because a couple members are pissed at the other conference members for dragging them down......in a deal that these said members signed themselves! If we do go to a Power 3, I foresee things then spiraling backwards where the top dogs will demand an unequal share and will be tired of losing to one another, they split off into their own conferences with schools that they can beat and who will take a lower share, and we are basically back to where we started, but with unequal revenue sharing in each conference.

I'm hoping that the group the B12 is a little less egocentric and can present a united front when realignment visits it again. Lot better to make decent money than small money. Right now it seems they are quite united

I, honestly, thought not too long ago, someone posted how badly the FSU AD was in the red. If true, there's some Monopoly money flying around.
Don't think that is accurate. Based on the Knight Commission athletic department financial database FSU's revenues have exceeded expenses by around $10M each year.

FSU Financials

Everything I've seen FSU's desire is wanting to support a budget comparable to Big10 & SEC teams vs. ACC, Big12 or Pac12. That's why they keep saying they are $30-$40M lower as an ACC member than the top 2 conference

Hey lawyers. If the B1G pays more for the product than the P12 offer, could there be an argument for some sort of antitrust? Inferring of course, that they're manipulating the nationwide product.
I think that's a real concern, and part of me thinks the "don't want to seem like their the ones to kill the PAC12" reports are actually just them posturing against anti-trust allegations

I think its like this:
"B10 is saving us, because the B12 is killing us"
"We didnt want the teams that are going to the B12 anyway"
"How could the B12 do this to us"
"B10 is our fren"
"B12 sux"
"Whaaaaaaaa!!"

Something close to that anyway.

Still waiting on Altimore to chart how OSU and WSU are the only valuable teams in the PAC anyway, once everyone else is gone, and Stan and Cal drop sports.

They can't just "forego their payments". The ACC would still hold their rights. The big 10 can't broadcast what it doesn't have rights to. So they'd bring zero value to the big 10.

You can't be serious asking "how is the ACC damaged". It absolutely can be bluster. Plenty of idiots have ran into court thinking they could win unwinnable cases.

So your answer is this is just bluster by FSU? You can't be serious. This isn't just whining by FSU, they are willing to go nuclear and scorched earth approach.

The good thing is we might actually have a firm deadline on this storyline- August 15.

Utah may have been a thorn in the Big 12's side...but if true I like that the UU-BYU rivalry games will be a part of the Big 12 lineup

Where do we stand as Cyclones?

BYU fans very likely called one of our greatest players and best human beings to wear a Cyclone uniform the N word.

Utah has spent the past year claiming every Big 12 school/town is absolute hell...yet is now is begging to join.

I'm leaning toward BYU but I could see it flip flopping. BYU has my support in the rivalry until they lose it.

I plan to sit back and watch, and wait for the brawl

Also, planning to go to the game in Provo this year. Will keep eyes and ears open during the game.
