Hard no on Cal. Culturally, athletically, monetarily they don’t fit. They don’t want us and we don’t want them , and that’s fine.

I would be in favor of taking Oregon State and Washington State before Cal. Maybe Stanford too although their reputation would help with future TV deals potentially (even though they were one of the worst P5 FBS programs from Elway graduation to Harbaugh introduction as coach).

BY really wants a foothold in CA and the west coast time zone. Arizona and Colorado dont give them that. neither does BYU.
Adding schools located between California and the current B12 footprint will help with getting a CA school. The fact that it's Pac schools will help even more.

We should differentiate between SoCal and NorCal. In terms of college football/basketball SoCal is the gem. NorCal is no more valuable than Montana imo

Love this rebranding of the league. Big 12 was always kind of a weird name and now that we will always have more than 12….how about calling us the National Intercollegiate League

I forgot where it was, but I think there was a Podcast not that long ago where Pollard said that the topic of rebranding the conference with a different name, they approached the new schools about their opinion on it. The new schools said to keep it because the brand was part of the allure of coming. I don't think the Big 12 name is going anywhere.

I would like these divisions, just swap OSU and UCF. Or BYU for OSU.
