yeah, the big 12 isn't going to stay at 13.

If the big 12 goes to just 14, its because we added Arizona, and OU\UW decided they can try to cobble together the remainder for a few years hoping for a big 10 invite (hoping they can dominate the conference like Oklahoma did the big 12)

If the next addition is Oregon\Washington , the conference will end up at 16 members, because they'll want a travel partner in the other, and then you'll need one more to make it even. Have to imagine at that point Utah\Arizona\ASU would be pretty desperate, giving the big 12 all kinds of leverage.
I’m told that big 10 said no thanks to oregon

Whatever it is, it is lower now with Colorado out. GK was on the record saying they believed Deion being at Colorado would help their media deal. Whether that is true or not, Colorado in general leaving definitely hurts the little bit of leverage they have with the networks.

A funny thing about this that I don’t get is how people could look at this situation over the past year and think that the pac 12 wasn’t in HUGE trouble. “They’ll just stick together because because”. Never got that mindset.

I just have this feeling it’s gonna be Oregon and then Washington and Arizona follow. ASU and Utah get left for dead.

And I would feel no sympathy for ASU or Utah. ASU has had a virtual "open door" alongside Arizona for nearly a decade, and in the last few years when talks have heated up they have always looked at the Big 12 with disdain. Utah, ever since joining the Pac 12, have thought of themselves as the equivalent of Cal and the Big 12 isn't worthy of being used as toilet paper. Well, in this new world of college athletics, both schools can have fun being the equivalent of Cal.

Uconn will be a part of this, and it doesnt look like Big 12 is reaching if it pulls some PAC teams in with Uconn.

can you imagine Uconn, zaga, kansas, arz, baylor, Houston, etc. the conference will be brutal!

if the big 12 snags a few PAC teams zaga would make sense basketball only.

I don't believe for a second UConn is part of this.

I don’t get the UCONN joke

Something I don’t like about this is the lack of exposure ISU Will have if someone like Oregon ends up coming, you can easily imagine a scenario where they are the ones taking the OTA slots on a weekly basis
