Speaking of this, heard a guest on I think Miller and Condon today who said he expects the SEC and B1G to push for no auto- bids. Because of course they would.

When the history is written on all this, there needs to be an entire chapter on how the B1G punked the ACC and the PAC with that "alliance" BS. Looks like they have been working with the SEC all along.

9 is too many. 6-7 is the amount I’m thinking for 12. Add in notre dame, Clemson, Oregon, and the big 12 best team and that gets you to 10/11 with one more team from another conference most years. The thing is adding those teams doesn’t mean you are going to get that many more bids. What it does is raise the floor for how many you get in if some of the other teams have down years. SEC should get 4 in most years with the new adds. Every once in awhile things will line up and they will get more but we have to see how the new additions fair first.
Realistically, if the B1G and SEC have 32 teams out of roughly 70 P5-ish total, why would we NOT expect them to get 6 or 7 of 12 playoff teams?
Just on percentages, its nearly half. Add in general quality and you would expect over half.
I think the key has to be the other conferences have to have access that isnt a joke. If it goes from 7 to 10-11 every year, then basically its 2 different leagues. And there will be plenty of Finebaum types arguing for that all day long.

Here is an interesting list, from January this year.

Hawk fans are not going to like it.

And according to this ISU would be the most valuable team in the Big 12, after OuT (who are listed as overall 1 and 2).

This list has ISU over Ohio state, list is completely invalid because of the covid year.

Everybody had the covid year, so everything was even. This study was 2019- 2020. The Covid year was 2020-2021.

I will throw this in there.... the B1G completely stepped on their own d1cks by not playing any games until they discovered Ohio State needed to get in there to make the playoffs. Total fraud.

Yep that’s the big ten presidents for ya. Also it was in no way equal but sure if you think ISU is a higher value team then Ohio State go right ahead and live in that fantasy world

"Methodology: For this piece GOBankingRates used the United States Department of Education’s “Equity in Athletics Data Analysis” (EADA) dataset to find (1) total football revenues; and (2) conference for all NCAA Division I schools all in FY19-20 data (the most recent available). Only the top 50 schools in terms of factor (1) were included in the final list. All data was collected on and up to date as of Aug. 3, 2022."

Its right there in the data.

Didn’t read the methodology but if true you should never believe that source. You legit believe that ISU is more valuable than Clemson, Ohio State, and within a million of Penn State and Wisconsin? Yeah sure
I thought the Hawk fans would be triggered, I guess I forgot about the Michigan State fans, that didnt even make the list....:campbell:

Hahaha legit don’t care, your list just is so far off you have to be an idiot to believe it
There are some things you shouldn't be so gullible about. And this is definitely one of them. Seriously, if ISU were more valuable than those schools, then what we've seen is a meteoric decline. That said, I have no doubt ISU's value is higher than most; if for no other reason we have an AD that knows money and numbers.

So are you saying that Ohio state etc are falsifying the data the are required to submit to the Gov? Hmm maybe we should inform someone to investigate.

"The Equity in Athletics Data Analysis Cutting Tool is brought to you by the Office of Postsecondary Education of the U.S. Department of Education. This analysis cutting tool was designed to provide rapid customized reports for public inquiries relating to equity in athletics data. The data are drawn from the OPE Equity in Athletics Disclosure Website database. This database consists of athletics data that are submitted annually as required by the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), via a Web-based data collection, by all co-educational postsecondary institutions that receive Title IV funding (i.e., those that participate in federal student aid programs) and that have an intercollegiate athletics program."

Call me an idiot all you want. You are obviously triggered by the information.

I don't believe it for a minute, but I'll take misinformation that works in our favor over the other **** we usually have to deal with.

Guys I thought it was an interesting list. Because I had never seen one that put us that high. I also looked at the data source and it appears legit.

Do I believe it completely...no. But it is fun to see how triggered our eastern friends get when they see anything that dares put ISU ahead of their supreme institutions.

I know, how dare I post something on an ISU forum that puts ISU in a better light than a few ultimate Big 10 schools.
