I honestly thought at first that this clip would have the first part of the dialogue! Good thing it didn't.
They are just trying to get enough schools on board to dissolve the ACC. It really just comes down to who gets left out, and who’s “OK” with getting a raise to go to the Big12.
Based what I have read on the internet, there is conjecture that GOR could be litigated based on the agreement being one sided. But that seems like a stretch as not like schools signed GOR with a gun to their head. The ACC GOR is ironclad, how are the Seminoles getting out of that?
The question is can these schools work together or not. They are just trying to get enough schools on board to dissolve the ACC. It really just comes down to who gets left out, and who’s “OK” with getting a raise to go to the Big12.

Is FSU etc. going to be able to convince VTech and company its ok, for FSU to get huge pay check in the SEC or B1G, as long as VTech gets a little bigger pay check in the Big 12? Or will the Schools like VTech hold the schools like Clemson and FSU Hostage, knowing they are looking at a much smaller pay increase.
Then if you get a group of 8 schools working together to dissolve the conference, I would still think that opens up lawsuit possibilities for the others left out, for several reasons, collusion, etc.
Not saying in the end it won't happen, just feel that there are a number of fires that will have to be put out for it to work, and even then several will probably still have to be settled in court or mediated later.
I agree I think 8 would be pushing it. Maybe its only 7, half of 14, not including ND, for dissolution? Even then, if Oregon and Washington are border line P2 what's that say for ACC schools?I think that's
I think they'd have a difficult time getting to 8. I'm not sure even a school like UNC that would obviously be in line for a golden ticket P2 offer would vote to dissolve the ACC having their history being so tied to BB.

Right now a big ten/SEC championship would be between an NCAA and NIT title. Neither has been that good lately. If the P2 go ahead with exiting the NCAA and starting their own basketball tournament, this math may change on some of these schools. CBS pays around $1B annually for the NCAA tournament. That may make basketball matter a bit more than it does now. Not saying it would matter as much as football, but it gives a school like Duke a chance.
They would likely invite as many participants as now.Right now a big ten/SEC championship would be between an NCAA and NIT title. Neither has been that good lately.
I guess it would come down to if just the P2 left. If just they leave, I would guess that they would try to take most of the money and maybe the NCAA would then change their payouts to keep the other 4 basketball powers in their fold and let the P2 have a 16 team tournament, unless they have everyone and go 32/48 and have 1-18 teams playing 4-15 teams first round. They would likely invite as many participants as now.
The primary change would be in how the revenue gets split.

Depends on the 24. If the Big ten adds Cal, BC, Syracuse, wake forest type schools; the SEC may be content with what they have. Obviously that probably wouldn't happen, but if they did grab Cal and Standford from the PAC and NC, Va, and then like Duke and BC, the SEC may be scratching their heads. The bigger question is IF B1G (Fox) and SEC (espn) are willing to collaborate behind the scenes at same time to invite 4 teams each.
There are def 4 schools each conf would want. Remember even BC could add value for the B1G due to Boston market, and SEC wont want to have 16 if B1G has 24.
