Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Could care less about if there's a cap. Whatever money they want to give players they'll find a way to do. Just fix the portal and tampering.
whether we’re talking about tampering, the portal, a cap, whatever, the article is about people wondering if anybody has any power to try to enforce rules or not and that’s what they’re going to find out in part with the Nebraska case

Interesting article with some great quotes from coaches and ADs if you have the time to read it. Not anything new in it, but fascinating to hear insiders views on the breaking point we’re at with NIL and the current Nebraska lawsuit challenging enforcement of NIL Go.

Seems crazy that the Power 2 just agreed to the structure of the house settlement and then the same athletic departments that made the rules refuse to follow the own rules they set in place such a short time after making them.

. "As much as the presidents don't want students to be employees, you have 18-year-old kids who aren't even playing making more money than brain surgeons." SMH

The domino effects of this very real quote are scary, and not just for lower dollar schools/programs.

I stay far away from this thread, because it’s too damn depressing. Just happened to see it pop up today, and curiosity got the better of me.

Weren’t we supposed to have an executive order a few weeks ago that would fix everything wrong in college sports….
Cody Campbell wisely talked him out of that because of the lawsuit factor.

Instead, the committees as noted have been formed to facilitate continued progress on hopefully getting a permanent solution from Congress.

I know that may be upsetting to selfish B10 bastards.

Should we let FriendlySpartan have a go?

Any solution to this mess has to consider college athletics as a whole, and it can't be heavily biased by people that are connected to the P2, including past athletes.

Jamie Pollard and others not leaning towards the P2, will be heard but their reasoning will be deflected and shrugged off.

If we replace our Gymnastics program with a Mental Gymnastics one, I sincerely hope you're our first call for the HC gig.

I see that you and Speedy Boy continue to find mental health comfort in supporting the selfish bastards from the B10. The two of you are obviously in need of mental gymnastics coaching and I am here to help!

Might as well go to 7x10 realignment to preserve conference champions if CCGs are eliminated for existing oversized conferences.

Lead the charge, Greg Byrne and tell Sankey to go screw himself! A 10-team Legacy SEC with a true conference champ is far better than the current oversized clustereff.
