The main thing is that none of them earn their cut of the revenue at a moment when it's critically important that the Big XII establish itself as the #3 conference. The only way to do that is by ensuring it's members make more than they could anywhere else outside of the Big 10 and SEC. Additionally, numerous current P5 programs with values that dwarf are or will likely become available in the next ~10 years. The Big XII shouldn't fill it's ranks with random G5 schools when much better options are going to be available.if the PAC implodes then we are likely religating 4 schools to G5 status.
what is wrong with reorganizing the G5 a bit by pulling some better regional/competitive G5 options and shelving some current P5 schools?
plus... i would love ISU to have road games in Las Vegas or San Diego or New Orleans, etc...
I'd love it if Iowa State occasionally played a road game within a day's drive for me. But I'd like it more if the Big XII is the #3 conference and was well position for whatever further realignments come next.
