I don't know about most people but my household is kind of getting "streamers fatigue" with the amount that we currently subscribe to and how many are out there.
I don't see us ever ditching Prime, we like YTTV, Disney for kids, but all the others are close to the chopping block for us.
Yes. I think people misunderstood the early transition from big packages like DirecTV had to what streaming was always destined to be and are finally getting doses of reality. It was never going to be the same content completely a-la-carte or at a fraction of the price. It was only cheap to get the ball moving, but it’ll be big cable before long.

Our subs:
-Hulu’s top package, including science and sports add-ons, extra screens, etc
-Discovery+
-Disney+
-Netflix Premium
-Prime
-History Vault
-Paramount+
-Peacock
-AppleTV+

Now, we could certainly consolidate, but our $285 DirecTV bill that we canceled 5 years ago and replaced with all streaming has largely just been replaced with smaller bills adding up to the same amount. There is certainly the flexibility for people to pay less than they used to since they don’t have to subscribe to so many things, but you’ll also continue to see consolidation in services that become bigger, costlier packages.

It would be funny if OR jumps in and takes the last spot.
OR, W, AZ, and maybe even Utah have to be in complete panic mode. At this point, the B1G does not want OR or W. Id bet OR and W make an announcement of some kind before the AZ schools

Anyone else think it’s funny these other schools are taking this stance while Colorado last week said “**** you, I’m out”
Think its easier for colorado to do it being they weren't necessarily a founding member of the conference.

Colorado had no choice. They didnt have the backing for Deion's contract that the AD thought they would, so they had to make a change somewhere to increase the budget

Beyond that, just the complete lack of exposure over a long period of time could make these programs deteriorate.

THIS! Who cares about the $20 million? You will NEVER be seen again. Literally, no one will be watching or will even be able to find you. The FB coaches have to be shitting their pants at trying to recruit in a streaming only environment.

Oh there’s definitely a long term cost/losses that the schools have to consider too. Should be an easy decision, just a matter of satisfying procedures.

It's almost like PAC schools have seen this before...

Yep, no way you're getting most casual fans to sign up for a PAC12 only subscription. We rotate our subscriptions right now depending on what we're watching

Yeah if a service included college football would affect how I rotate, although appletv is pretty much last or never. I’d only pay extra for b12 and that’s from someone who watches a lot of college fb.

At best, the "deal" presented relies on some positive assumptions (all teams staying put and perhaps a list of approved additions). This is what the networks would offer given this set of circumstances. So not really a deal at all.

No one is going to get up and storm out of the room, or even state that the deal is unacceptable. They'll just get up, take it back to their own meetings, and determine their course of action (jump, wait and see, or stay).
This x 1000!

If the average of the remaining PAC 12 members is only $20 million per team and that includes Oregon and Washington, really doesn’t say much for most of them, especially Cal, Oregon State and Washington State, and Stanford. You would think Oregon, Washington and Utah, as much as they brag about themselves, would move the needle north of $20 for the whole conference.
