Like I said, I will watch football any chance I get, even if it's between Iowa and Rutgers (shiver) or Fresno State vs UNLV. I love having games nearly every night of the week.

BUT, even with that and a subscription to every streaming service, I wouldn't likely subscribe to a PAC only add-on... unless they had games on when there was literally no other game on.

To build a revenue forecast on subscriber numbers that would have to be incredibly small would be a difficult task.

I think people just need to be a little more patient.

Arizona and Arizona state both held emergency meetings with their BOR today. I wonder if we will hear something even as early as tonight. For sure Zona would be invited if they are open to it. I wonder if the Big12 would be fine with ASU as well. I know in the past ASU seemed to shrug off the Big12. Gotta think if your options are the big 12 or the new "western/academic focused mountain west" Pac 12. You better do some groveling.

I'm sure the PAC-9 members are crunching the numbers. Highest payout, baring Nike including a sub with every shoe, would have to be the alumni base of the members. Lowest might only be current season ticket holders.

Is anyone outside the PAC going to pay $79 (MLS season pass cost) to watch Cal v WSU?

Yeah. I'm guessing they really didn't need Rutgers. Plenty of Big 10 fans in NYC.
But adding Rutgers makes NY/NJ in market. It increases the BTN carriage fee exponentially.

So big markets like Chicago, New York, LA, etc. are a steady & big revenue stream. So Rutgers might not have great teams, but they are a Sugar Daddy for the Big10.

The most feasible way to make this happen is if they were to bundle the subscription with other services.

I don't know about most people but my household is kind of getting "streamers fatigue" with the amount that we currently subscribe to and how many are out there.
I don't see us ever ditching Prime, we like YTTV, Disney for kids, but all the others are close to the chopping block for us.

Exactly what I said yesterday based on Thamel's X.....ASU And Utah want to move. It comes down to Fox and the B12 agreeing to take a 15th and 16th. For OR and WA, they may actually hang in the PAC with some lesser schools, take a bigger cut of the base payout and rule that conference for the next few years before a B10 invite probably comes.

Yep, no way you're getting most casual fans to sign up for a PAC12 only subscription. We rotate our subscriptions right now depending on what we're watching
