Reaction Post-Toledo

This site is already bad enough right now, if we lose to Toledo, I may just have to put 95% of the posters on ignore.

How soon before we get the Toledo version of Lakes in here? We got SouthTulsaPoke last game and whatever-his-name was for the Baylor game. I need someone from Toledo to come here and start bragging about their superhuman players.

You forgot one more option. We already know some of the Negative Nancies will complain even if we win by double digits. They'll say "beating Toledo doesn't prove anything, fire CPR".

why are you so negative?

if we lose to toledo on homecoming.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

You and the rest of the shovel crew will be happy?

The only reason I have any shred of faith in CPR at this point is because we have Wally and Mangino. A loss to Toledo and I have zero faith, none. Some of the sunshine pumpers may even fall off the wagon if we lose.

We better not lose...

OK, just so you know, some of us "sunshine pumpers" are actually waiting until the entire season plays out to see if we continue to make improvements before we make up our minds.

Most of us "sunshine pumpers" understand that nothing will happen until the season is over any way. And since we "sunshine pumpers" have decided to wait until the end of the season, some of us "sunshine pumpers" have decided what the hell, let's support the team until then.

The offense has regressed the last couple of weeks. IMO, the injuries at the WR position are taking a toll. And we lack any sort of running game. The offense has under performed badly. Defense has done better than expected.

We need to win, and more than the point differential we need to play sound football in doing so. Then repeat 5 or 6 more times for there to be the beginnings of hope CPR has learned. In reality it probably would mean Mangino is starting to put his imprint on the program, and the improvement would stop when he leaves, which could by the start of 2016. Hopefully Wally coaches until he is 80.

CPR could win the National Championship and I would bet that you would still give him zero credit. You have a lot of hate there.

The "shoot the sound guy" scenario? We have a 10 point lead in the 4th, they play that stupid song that will go unnamed, and we proceed to lose again.

The game hasn't even been played yet and we already have a post game meltdown thread. SMH

Curious how everyone will react to the game this weekend given the following scenarios:

A) We lose to Toledo but are competitive - "I'm happy with being competitive" or "We should never lose to a MAC or mid-major team".

B) Beat Toledo by 1-7 points - "I"m happy with the win" or "We should beat mid-majors by 2 or more touchdowns".

C) Beat Toledo by 8-16 points - "This is where we should be" or "We should have won by more".

OR

D) Beat Toledo by 17+ - "This is where we should be and nothing else is acceptable".

To me, at this point, a win is a win is a win. A lot of mid-majors have played the Power 5 schools tough this year; however, MIzzou doubled up Toledo early if I remember correctly.

D is the only correct answer.

How about we wait and see what happens during the game and let the reaction come naturally. I believe no matter the final outcome is there will be a group of people upset. Even if we win there will still be unhappy people. "We only beat them by 10 when we should have beat them by 21!!!"

It's been a tough schedule and the team has shown flashes.........but this is a game ISU needs to dominate to keep the majority of the fan base moving forward. I think we all can live with losing to top 25 teams (with the occasional upset), but going 1-11 or 3-9 is not going to fill the stadium for much longer.

-buy my tickets to Boise

C) Beat Toledo by 8-16 points - "This is where we should be" or "We should have won by more".
-buy my tickets to Pasadena

OR

D) Beat Toledo by 17+ - "This is where we should be and nothing else is acceptable".
-start trolling FSU, Auburn, Oregon, Baylor, and Alabama message boards in regards to making the Final Four

I think I did this wrong so S.
