So I know some people who attended a wedding recently and that caused much discussion about doing unnecessary or even careless activities in light of COVID. My take is everyone thinks they are appropriately following necessary measures, no matter what choices they make, but everyone else is more careless. For example "yes I go out to eat, but I distance and wear a mask so it is safe, but I cannot believe anyone would go to a wedding with that many people!"

So with that, it got me thinking, how good are you at following guidelines, recommendations, and protocols? I may not have done a very good job with response selections, so let me add a scale, 5 - I follow COVID guidelines perfectly; 1 - I do not concern myself with those guidelines.

I should check to see how 'perfect' I am but likely not as I don't mask up for a run or hike. I do take one in case I get on a slimmer section of trail and come across someone but otherwise just keep my distance.

It's on inside public places and that's just grocery/take out places. I'm loving the break from eating out and am planning to keep that going afterwards.

If workers are wearing a mask then I put mind own. I did forget to grab it the other day when I went inside K&G but made it out alive.

I wear a mask 100% when I am indoors in public areas or in rooms with people not in my immediate family circle. The only exceptions have been the few times I have gone to a restaurant for work. I wear the mask when not at the table, and take it off once we sit down. I'm generally against skin-to-skin contact, but if someone offers a handshake, I'll give them one but follow up with hand sanitizer shortly after. If I'm outside, I generally do not wear it, unless I have to be very close to lots of other people.

My philosophy has shifted with this thing since March. Early on, I was terrified of everything. I didn't want to leave the house or be around people. Now, I do what I can to minimize the risk. I wear a mask, wash/sanitize hands, and avoid unnecessary risks like dining in, seeing friends for fun, etc. However, I go to the gym, go the store, starbucks, etc, all while wearing a mask or getting something to-go as much as I can.

The biggest thing I had to get over was the social pressure to not wear a mask. At first, I felt very weird wearing a mask if I were in a room with 5 other unmasked people. However, I had to learn to get over that and just wear the mask, no matter how I felt like I was being view. I always remember I'm doing it to protect others, especially my family.

Can't really vote in the poll. I would say I fit nicely into 4, but I don't wear a mask when I'm out of the house unless I'm going to come in contact with other people. Always on once I get out of the car if I'm going into a store, getting gas, etc. I don't wear the mask while on a walk or being outdoors where others aren't around. I always have a mask with me, that i put on if I see other people coming. But even on walks, I just usually go into the street so we are passing more than 15 feet apart.

I’m waiting for my new under armour mask to arrive and then I’ll be heading back to the gym. Gotta stay healthy now that my running weather is evaporating

I can’t say for sure if I know what every CDC guideline is so I’ll say 4, mask on any time I’m near people, sanitize and wash hands frequently, haven’t eaten in any restaurants, no gatherings.

Have you stopped letting strangers spit in your mouth?

Not to get off topic, but I haven't heard great things about the UA mask. Let me know how it is. I got a Zansah mask and it has worked well. I also just got one of the Mission masks, gonna try that out this week.

Yep. Poll options kind of wonky because you can be within guidelines without wearing a mask every time you step out of the house.

I wear a mask when going places indoors and when in proximity to others outdoors

But I've not been going to bars/restaurants since this all started so risk has been reduced that way.

I wear a mask when I’m indoors shopping. I’ve stayed away from huge crowds. I definitely sanitize my hands when I feel it’s needed.

This is spot on for me.

Somewhere between 3 and 4. I wear a mask when I'm in indoor public spaces. I have gone out to eat a handful of times outside, but twice have been indoors. Don't like doing that at all. I wash my hands regularly, but probably not anymore than I did pre pandemic. I go running outside a lot but never wear a mask for that. I avoid people as much as possible (running in the street when I see people coming, etc.) Mostly I just don't go anywhere. Most weeks I have little to no contact with non-family outside the grocery store. I have barely been to my office since March.

I told my kids when this is over we will be taking all our masks and put them in our burn pit, load them with gasoline and light them brightly on fire.
