I hear people talking at times about how to win at Keno. I'll then write a program testing their theory and as usual it doesn't work any better than an other theory.
I set them up with 100 runs at $1 a run and in general they all average out to a return of about .65 on the dollar.
The only thing I can't take into account are the times a number seems to get hot.

I know a woman that seems to win at Keno all the time but she always has a stack of tickets and even when she wins she just bets it all back. One day she won $500 in the first 30 minutes. She had to get money out of the ATM at the bar to pay her tab when she left.
I have had several employees in the past get into serious trouble from spending too much time in casinos. One lost a house but still kept gambling, one got fired because he would be in the casino for two days straight and then not show up for work. One ended up in the slammer because he held up a bank because he lost all his money gambling.

I'm not a big fan of casinos.

But they still all tell stories of hitting the big ones. When pushed, you find out that they never came home with all that money and usually - even on the big win days - came home with less cash than they left home with.

Not exactly sure.
I can't think of a famous person I look like but I have one for my dad before he died.

Here is the best approximation of one of my brothers:

Gerald McRainey:

What famous person do you look like?

Even dressed like him: couldn't tell us apart.

My mother used to think I looked like Joe Namath.

I told her to lay off the cheap whiskey.
You have to post a picture that looks the most like you. I had to look at a dozen McRaney pics to find the right one for my brother.

People always tell me I look like someone we know but isn't famous.

Wait a minute I have had someone tell me I looked like:

Steve Kerr and his boyfriend:

I used an old player picture of him because Steve and I were both younger when I was told this.

You aren't a 6 6 Black man so I will guarantee you don't look like Jordan. Kerr.......It's been a while, so I can't really say.

Baby slept then from 1015 to 5am. Then kinda awake til 6 and back down til 9. New plan, we'll give vaccines every day now.

To be fair, he had started sleeping better the prior two nights as well. A welcome change from the every two hours. Though Dr said yesterday he's probably about to go through another growth spurt and expect more waking. Well it's been a great 3 days.

You never value sleep more than when you don't get enough. After I graduated I was still taking some classes and working two jobs including some overnights working at WOI radio. I found myself setting an alarm and lying down even if I had 15 minutes free. Glad I don't do that anymore.

But if you ask, they always win or come out ahead in the long run.

Had a guy tell me he won 500 bucks or something in a slot machine. I asked how much he put in to win. He said a dollar. I asked again, he wouldn't admit to the hour he sat in there shoving dollar bills into it. (This same paragraph could work about a shaker joint)

The first time I went into a casino I said I won $12.50. Then added it cost me $20 to win that $12.50. Casino logic 101

First time Mrs. Velo and I went to the Black Hills we ate at Bullocks in Deadwood. We had a few coins in change so on the way out she dropped a quarter in a slot machine. She ended up winning like 45 cents or something. I quickly said, "We are ahead, let's go!" She wasn't happy but did take the money and run.

:D

When I was younger, I had a bank teller say that I looked like a young Charlton Heston. Not anymore.

My best buddy walked out of Mesquaki one night with $12,500. He called to tell me of his good fortune, and I said, "So, are you even?" He says, "You mean all-time?" I said "Yeah." He says "Oh hell no!"

But, he's a realist, of course.
