Comment loud enough so that the person on the other end of the line can hear you. Hopefully Loud Talker says "Do you mind?", in which you reply "Do you?"

We went to our HS's sectional volleyball championship game last night. Our team is super-good (4 division one seniors). Wisconsin's getting another really good setter from our school. She's ridiculously athletic, has a nasty serve (started off the match with a clean ace), and refuses to let the ball hit the floor. On top of that, she's a good friend of my daughter and is also really smart and charismatic. Her name could even come out of central casting for the name of the spunky, energetic athlete in a movie.

I have a question for you volleyball folks. One of our friends' daughter is a junior on the team. She's 5'10" and plays the full rotation but she's better as a hitter than in the back line. Can you make it as a 5'10" hitter in D-1 volleyball or will she need to try to make it as a setter or defensive specialist?

probably better shot back row but not impossible as a hitter

You know the AG race, right? Last week I saw a series that was one for Schimel, followed by Kaul talking about the commemorative coin thing vs. testing kits..........followed by another Schimel one that was clearly a rebuttal to the Kaul ad. 90 seconds and it was all AG race ads. It was a lot.

I lied, I turned on Wheel, just saw this actually. Literally ever commercial is an political ad.
 
Interesting trip to Eastern Iowa this week for work, work stuff was mundane but when I went out for supper it was fun.

Went to a sports bar Thur. nite fir supper and it was trivia nite, started writing the answers down on my napkin, saw there was a couple there ,I thought they were waiting for the rest of their team so I gave them my answers and went back to the bar.
Right after that the guy comes up and say Want to join us I said sure. The 5 teams were within 20 pts of each other going into the final question We WON!! $25 gift certificate for the bar told them to keep it since I don't get to CR to often. Then we went karoakeing. They sang I drank. One of the more interesting trips to CR that I've had.

@harimad glad your recovery is going well.

Edit adding me made a team of 3.

hey I'm back on milk now. Want to hear how my kid **** up his back today? He got a bath, it was that bad. His sickness seems better today which is good. Don't you wish you lived my exciting life? You got all your furniture together? And I agree, we assembled an IKEA dresser for the little pooper and it wasn't that bad. It was like a million pieces though.

I had rum tonight, can you tell?

Hard pass on the **** story. But it’s funny, because I’ve started drinking Almond milk instead of milk over the last few weeks.

And yes! The bed took for feckin ever though. It was like 6 boxes of stuff and I had to put together like 13.6 million pieces for it.

Also, I bought a floor lamp and went to put it together and get it up and it’s no where to be found. It’s just totally gone. So......haunted.
 
I’ve been drinking red wine tonight and feel like @BoxsterCy. Is there a game watch tomorrow? I might be able to make it. Also, I installed a ceiling fan in my youngest daughter’s room. It ended up crooked so I’m guessing all installed lights are haunted tonight. Also also, my senior daughter went to hang out at a boy’s house tonight. Our last name starts with 2 e’s and do does the boy’s. That’s weird.
