Brooklyn Park, MN

Son came home from soccer last night without his ball in his backpack. I went over to the park where they had practice before heading to work this morning and walked around the park in the misty rain to see if it was still there. I never found his ball but it wasn't a total loss since I got really close to this guy and even watched him catch and swallow a fish. And he didn't even need a fish knife to do it.

Wherever I go, there I am.
Had a neighbor who married a “dancer”. She was a very vulgar, nasty, mean woman. She was a school secretary.
I"m having difficulty tracking this. Was the dancer also a school secretary or was it the "neighbor" who was the school secretary?

You do realize that two women who love each other (and perhaps some who don't) can get married in the State of Iowa, right?

Not exactly sure.

Neighbor who married a shaker who quit shaking and became a school secretary. Assuming she quit, she was late 50s when I met her and don’t think she had the drawing power probably.

As is the NE corner of Iowa. You get in the hills and it doesn't make sense to go out of you way to making straight roads.

Oops, now I see that I missed CG's post where she mentioned NE Iowa and the hill connection.
Most river towns, too. Try driving in Dubuque.

So, we are watching Tiny House Hunters. Every freaking episode, the people looking start complaining about the lack of size in their potential new home. LIKE NO **** SHERLOCK, YOU ARE THE DUMB DUMB WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN A SMALL ASS BUILDING WITH OTHER PEOPLE.

Also, Im gonna quit my job and become a pergola and tiny home builder. Those guys get away with robbery.

OK. How oblivious are high school boys?

One of my daughter's friends is in a class with my son. For tourist day during spirit week, she wore snorkeling gear on her head during every class. My son didn't notice that somebody in his class was wearing snorkeling gear!

I'm guessing he was to busy looking at the swim suit she was wearing.

Eh, I feel like it's a guy thing in general. So somewhat NSFW story, but it's friday evening so whatever. So last summer I went on a date with a girl and it was going really well and one of the things we talked about was what pets we had (she mentioned she had recently adopted a cat). At the end of the date, I asked if I could walk her home, she accepted, and when we got there, she invited me up to her place to "see/meet (I can't remember which) her cat." So we went up, I met her pet cat, talked to my date for a bit, and then went to hang out with some friends for a few minutes who lived a block away. It was after I got to my friends' place that I realized how obvious she had been.

P.S. In my defense, I recognized the innuendo, but didn't really want to act on it because if I got it wrong I would have gotten it really really wrong.

P.P.S. I know my dad sometimes lurks here because he loves our banter, hopefully this isn't one of those times. If so, hi Dad!
