In-house produced? Just curious.
Possibly produced by the Ames water people

Colbert is much better. Seth Meyer is my favorite, though. Love his "A Closer Look" bits.I never watch late night talk shows except when staying at other peoples houses and they have it on. Damn, Jimmy Fallon really really sucks. Woof.
What Pants finds acceptable is irrelevant, but just smile and nod. He believes himself fo be too sophisticated for simple pleasures like the Tico.Acceptable answer.
Also acceptable would be “meh.”
Went to Culver's today. Parked across from the door so I could watch my car while I was waiting. No other cars are parked to the left of me so there are like 10 spaces open. Some FIB parks right next to me, outside the lines. I'm not parked very well, I was on the right line, so there was a lot of space on my left. Nope, this lady is way over her right line so I could barely get in my car.
Also hate when I'm at Culver's and I have already ordered, I'm waiting away from the counter, holding my number and drink in my hand, and people ask if I have ordered yet.
I used to like some of the late night shows, but now it seems that the majority of them have made their entire monologue - or in some cases their entire show - about our current Prez. Now I realize that he is easy fodder, but some of us want to get away from the Washington idiocy before bed, not have a whole hour of it jammed down our throats.Colbert is much better. Hopefully Papa Lew doesn't look like this:

When I lived off campus, I had the clutch go out on my car. We were in a neighborhood where you had to alternate parking from one side of the street to the other on different days. While waiting for my car part to arrive, I didn't move my car, and got a ticket. Then I got towed. I actually had to get my car towed from the police impound back to my place, and pay for both tows. Hurts pretty bad as a broke college student. When I was in school, my bf parked his car on campus on Friday night, imbibed a bit too much at Wilson Compton Union and walked back home with his buddies. Monday morning, he realized his car was gone, finally remembered where it was and went to retrieve it. 3 tickets totalling $105 (in 1975 dollars when tuition was ~$300/semester). He managed to talk them out of two of the tickets by convincing them that it wasn't three days of violations, but one three-day violation.![]()
Visited and toured the LST 325 museum ship which is docked in Bettendorf through this weekend. Was 99% sure this was one of the very LST's that landed my dad's outfit on Utah Beach in 1944 based on stuff I had on his unit history and pictures of the ship landing his type of artillery. Bought a book on the ship today and sure enough "That afternoon (June 10) vehicles and troops from the 980th Field Artillery Battalion were loaded aboard." Yup, that was my dads unit. Book mentions another LST hitting a mine and exploding which I remember my dad telling me about. So, cool.![]()

@cyrocksmypants, in order to get barred from operating a motor vehicle in Iowa, you must meet the definition of a "habitual offender". The criteria are below:
As used in this section and sections 321.556 through 321.562, “habitual offender” means any person who has accumulated convictions for separate and distinct offenses described in subsection 1, 2, or 3, committed after July 1, 1974, for which final convictions have been rendered, as follows:
1. Three or more of the following offenses, either singularly or in combination, within a six-year period:
a. Manslaughter resulting from the operation of a motor vehicle.
b. Operating a motor vehicle in violation of section 321J.2 or its predecessor statute.
c. Driving a motor vehicle while the person's driver's license is suspended, denied, revoked, or barred.
d. Perjury or the making of a false affidavit or statement under oath to the department of public safety.
e. An offense punishable as a felony under the motor vehicle laws of Iowa or any felony in the commission of which a motor vehicle is used.
f. Failure to stop and leave information or to render aid as required by sections 321.261 and 321.263.
g. Eluding or attempting to elude a pursuing law enforcement vehicle in violation of section 321.279.
h. Serious injury by a vehicle in violation of section 707.6A, subsection 4.
2. Six or more of any separate and distinct offenses within a two-year period in the operation of a motor vehicle, which are required to be reported to the department by section 321.491 or chapter 321C, except equipment violations, parking violations as defined in section 321.210, violations of registration laws, violations of sections 321.445 and 321.446, violations of section 321.276, operating a vehicle with an expired license or permit, failure to appear, weights and measures violations and speeding violations of less than fifteen miles per hour over the legal speed limit.
3. The offenses included in subsections 1 and 2 shall be deemed to include offenses under any valid town, city or county ordinance paralleling and substantially conforming to the provisions of the Code concerning such offenses.
One of the football players allegedly was arrested for Driving While Barred. I was explaining what that was in another thread, but then decided to answer a question from Pants here instead, since the RTT isn't populated by dicks.Did I miss something?
Fair point.
But good grief...he gives them soooooo much material!
