I'm constantly (maybe chronically?) amazed at the stamina of those ISR threads. Once they get started, they last for MONTHS and get up into the HUNDREDS of pages. I don't know how those guys do it.

Last time I looked, ISR didn't even show up on a list to subscribe to. I felt I was better off and kept on without it.
It seems like stuff that would be fun for a couple minutes, but then it drags on into forever.

Not exactly sure.
Wife's part Norwegian. Go SIL!

Also, I just checked the local calendar of events and discovered that the NHRA Nationals are going on across the street from the lake this weekend. Sounds peaceful and relaxing. Also, Hairball's playing at 10 pm on Friday.

I would be slightly concerned if my wife was chasing 10,000 swedish men through the weeds.

I will look at them, and then come back a couple hours later and three threads will have gained 10 pages or so. Nice thing is, you don't have to read them because they don't cover anything new usually. Just start back up.

I saw that the very first post was for a tap room. I would suggest Psycho Suzi's. It's a blast and has a huge deck. D-E-C-K, I said.

If you feel having craft beer is important but still want the full drink menu, I'd recommend Dayblock Brewing near the Guthrie. It's only a couple of

blocks from my office so I may even be able to make it. Also, Freehouse in the North Loop is pretty good and it seems like there are a bunch of ISU alumni living in that area.

Oooh, haven't been in a while maybe should pop over there Friday night. Kind of a @cyrocksmypants Hawaiian shirt kinda place.

I'm wondering what the front page of new posts would look like if I blocked ISR and the Cave. I'm thinking of giving it a try for a few days just for something different. Neither one of them really bother me though ISR is really just mainly 5 or so people bickering among themselves with occasional comments thrown in by the rest of us.

So it's basically RTT only about sports.

I don't get the point of having an extremely loud bike. Then they blast the radio on top of it and you can hear it three blocks north of the highway at my house.

The bikers say it's because car and truck drivers don't watch for them, so they have to warn us of their presence with the loud noise. Imagine if all our vehicles were that noisy.......

Back to Wisconsin this weekend.....for brother's retirement party. He got offered a pretty sweet golden parachute, so he took it. Now he's going to move up North and fish every day. (Winter too. I never got the appeal of ice fishing, myself.)

But the good news is I will get to go for fish on Friday to a really great place, Donny's Girl in Pipersville!

(Go ahead, ask.)

Well, she would be a bit long in the tooth by now if she was at the Battle of Copenhagen. There have been a number of Battles of Copenhagen, but they occurred in the 19th century.
People fought over chewing tobacco that has little bits of glass in it, TSNAs and polonium?

Yep, those stickers that say "Loud Pipes Save Lives" are the truth. Unfortunately for my ears...

I like some sound but nothing obnoxious. One of the things that bothers me for safety is back in the 70's it was mandated that all motorcycles have their headlight on at all times for increased visibility. We don't even have an on/off switch anymore. The car companies then decided daytime running lights was great for increased visibility which now means practically every vehicle on the road has it's lights on which completely negates the original mandate.
