Our 20th anniversary is coming up this fall. My wife said she'd like to go to Waco.

I can't speak for the free tour but we did the $10 one and found it very interesting. They don't go into a ton of depth but give good over views. Might just be our interests but them talking about the history of the company, buildings and area was as interesting as anything else on the tour. The bottling facility was fascinating to me. Plus I think we got 2-3 beers on the tour, a voucher for one in their beer garden thing and a bottle taken directly off the line.

I was hoping to see the actual bottling process and such. Sounds like some of that used to be included in the free tour.

Hopefully this isn't TMI, but I just put a deposit down to secure a surgery date. Most of us know what kind of surgery I'm talking about, which is where the TMI concerns spring from.

Late in October I will be inducted into the V-Club! :)
Best wishes for a successful outcome!

Going to go visit the house repair peoples complex? (chip &Joan?) If we play BU down there it could be a good weekend to go do the game and the other stuff everybody is happy.

Maybe I should check the schedule. Nope. ISU plays Baylor in Ames and has a bye when we're looking to go.

Well enjoy the house stuff then  . I'm sure it will be a fun weekend in reality, have been to Waco but never to either the of the compounds;).

Thank you, and no worries! If you can handle it, I can write it.

Six weeks before I can return to work. Twelve weeks before I can go out for a test ride.

Frankly that's a lot better than I thought it would be, especially the testing bit. Good luck!

It is pretty awesome. I would have to find them on my old phone but they have some insane efficiency. Then they say the other side of the building is all a warehouse that can hold some crazy large amount of beer. If they had a catastrophe and all production was cut the states they serve in the Midwest out of STL would drink that warehouse dry in 15 minutes.

Ours was last year, got a trip to Omaha (which is where we have spent probably 15 or so of our 21 anniversaries).

College friends of ours celebrate 20 this year. We talked about taking a trip to the Maui Invitational to celebrate theirs and ours a year late. That never got off the ground.

So how did Omaha become the go to destination if you don't mind telling?

Our 20th was in December. Did nothing, went to San Antonio during spring break.

Stopped at magnolia on way down and back. It’s awful, I mean awful, blows chunks. You look around for 10 minutes and stand in line for 3 hours, then repeat each section. I met a group from Minnesota. They were amazed I had never seen or heard of the show. The B&B is booked for about 2 years.

Our anniversary is July 5, we spend the 4th of July holiday in Omaha with relatives. Some years it is all extended family, some years just a family or two. Take in a minor league baseball game with tailgating before, watch fireworks from the outfield, then have our own fireworks show at hubby’s cousin’s house. Kids play, most years we make a trip to the zoo—which is usually where we end up on the 5th. This year softball regional game was July 3rd so we missed our annual tradition. :(

20th was last week. Cubs at KC on the actual day. When the schedule came out in February, I called him at work and said "We're going to the Cubs-KC game on our anniversary." He didn't argue. I might want something a bit fancier/more tropic on the 25th anniversary.
