I'm at the sushi bar and there's a guy about Boxters Age and a girl about my age next to me. She's 1000% an escort. He gave her a "gift" when she arrived and she went to the bathroom immediately to presumably check the cash. The box was gone and no mention of the gift when she came back.

About 15min in they start discussing other experiences they've had. This will be interesting.

Staying with our lyrics theme:

Hey nineteen
That's 'Retha Franklin
She don't remember Queen of Soul
It's hard times befallen soul survivors
She thinks I'm crazy but I'm just growing old
Hey nineteen
(no we got nothing in common) We can't dance together
(no we can't talk at all)

Remember how I mentioned they were basically lowering our bonuses for my department/division? Well they finally had an open call today about our incentive plan and oh boy was that a **** show. Obviously all the questions were about the bonus cuts and they said this statement and said thank you everyone and got off the call. What a load of crap

"[Company] continually reviews its plans and policies with respect to industry, market trends, and standards. There are annual internal benchmark reviews to ensure our compensation plans remain competitive and aligned to business performance. The changes in [incentive plan name] for all roles are the outcome of that review and were approved by the [Division] LT level. With customer expectations high and our competitors moving fast, we must raise the bar on performance to remain competitive."

Translation: We have researched in detail how much we can **** our employees and not suffer too much defection and loss of market share and/or profitibility, so bend the **** over!

So I know the thing to do now is send a thank you email after an interview, but I only have the HR persons email and not the email of the person I interviewed with.

What’s the RTT thoughts on emailing the HR person to get the person that interviewed me’s email?
You got a name? If not I would just thank the hr person and ask them to thank interviewer.

Does the company have a website? Or maybe you can locate the interviewer on LinkedIn?

I'll respond to the quotes in a second but this potential escort chick just basically took the whole champagne flute in her mouth with no hands. Then she lifted back and took the all of the champagne in the glass in a gulp or two.

The guy requested the check and I'm trying to fight the laughter and or jealously.

Future reference, always write that baby down once you leave or get their business card.

Send to HR person thanking them for their time and ask them to forward your thank you to Mr/Ms xyz?

They are all the Doctor. You need to brush up on your wibbly wobbly spacey wacey. ;)

I am, however, excited about her. She is a fine actress and if they give her good writing I think she will crush it.

That’s a bit concerning that your company of all companies is cutting bonuses....

My section of the company is only about 20% of the company. My department has two sections of bonus, how you help the company and how many hours you bill. The piece that is going awol is the piece of how many hours I bill. The bonus of how I help the company is going no where. The part of helping the company is the only bonus that non customer facing folks get.

The base salary is wildly different from customer facing and non customer facing folks. But if I do "well" I can out perform non customer facing folks pretty easily. It just became a lot harder with this new incentive package

@SCyclone , have you stopped into River Hops yet in FD? Dang their beers are SOLID!

Doggone morning glory resurge where not wanted 24D deployed to cure it.

Haven't been there yet, gotta make a point of doing it. You've probably used 2,4-D before - but make sure you don't mix it too strong. I did and suffered the consequences!

So, since I have a hutch that is kind of a curio display thingie I've been making an observation about the difference a family or a gal might put on display as opposed to an old boy. Loaded up the right side with wine glasses (cause BoxsterCy) but the rest is trending 100% "boy": conch shell, turtle shell, emu egg, WWI spikee helmet, some fossils, vintage Schuco blue Ferrari windup race car, antique German beer growler, vintage Cy statuette, American chestnut tree seed pod (nearly extinct), geode etc. It's like a freakin' man cave in a case. ;)
Pics?

Have not. Actually I am more carpenter than woodworker Not much on the finish skills end of things.

I use it on raw wood in place of varnish or polyurethane. I always hand-rub it on....it makes a very durable, water-resistant finish, plus it's easy to restore if necessary.
