I come home and there's a bat just lying on the ground by the back door. It's breathing but I think it's dying. I tapped on the ground next to with a stick and it opened its eyes and mouth.
I gave blood a few weeks ago, speaking of veins and everything, and was disappointed there were no Lorna Doone's for afterwards. Gotta really good pulled pork sammich, though. May have to get the Lorna Doones next time I'm out so I can dunk 'em in hot tea.
@Cybirdy no surprise the eldest, a catcher, won the rubber chicken throwing contest.
I love looking at the photo exhibit at the state fair. Although, some of the winners surprise me. I seem to see better pictures in the general gallery. Maybe it's how they title it.
The wild raspberry crop in my area was terrible this yr for some reason.
Thin sliced some zuchini dipped it in tempura batter and fried it for lunch along with steamed hamburger. Made for a pretty good lunch going to end up with salad for supper tonight.

There's a lot at work, but they seemed to have disappeared quickly. Place we were at today had plenty left still.
First batch of sweet corn just arrived too and it was delicious.

On its own, or did you dispose of it? Sick bats are dangerous, because there's no way to know if it's because of rabies. Next time, trap it & take it to be tested. Better safe than sorry...

Hhhmm, now I am feeling pressure lol. Was going to just supplement what they bring with baked goods, but maybe need to up my game. Maybe husband can show off his mangrates skillz?
KC you are missing out! Someone built a 1/3 scale B-17 and flew it in today.
I agree with this. Never send one unless asked for it should absolutely be the number 1 rule. Dicks aren’t attractive, nobody wants to see them as a surprise. I’ve never received a **** pic, but I assume it’s something you’ve got to mentally prepare yourself for first.
So how long do we have to wait before we see the effects of rabies coursing through Chaser’s body?
