Happy Birthday Chaser!

Damn it got toasty this afternoon. Got one job done than another guy called and had to go to that this evening a couple of hiccups but the project finished fine.

Has anyone seen Ocean's 8 yet? Supposed to go see it tomorrow night.

Met the local crazy lady last night while walking the dog. She has her Pomeranian, a tailess cat, a white rat, and some birds in her freezer. Says she is going to have a big funeral some day.

Of course she met the gf the day before so she knows everything about us. Loves Sadie as well. Told the gf after the walk that we know which street to avoid now.

I cleaned the kitchen til like 11:30 last night so this is highly possible. Also, returning a bunch of clothes/baby stuff to Amazon that all came in one order. But for the return it wants me to package 7 items into 5 packages. Lol wut, I'm shoving all that in one box. I feel like taking the risk that it'll all get sorted out eventually. The return slips all go to the same town, just seems like different parts of a distribution center.

Another also, I think DH's version of nesting is doing endless **** in the yard. Yesterday he climbed up on the roof to fix a fascia thing (ok, this is necessary), cut all my spireas down for me (I could probably do this but he won't let me push mow anymore either), and then put grass seed in all the vole holes he dug up.

I'm like but could we get the car seat base in my car?
Because of her pneumonia, my wife was on prednisone last week. It was pretty much like she was nesting again. One day, she decided to move all of the furniture in the living room and office and vacuum under it and along the base of the wall and along the ceiling lines. She then decided to organize the closet and bookshelf in the office and had me organize the cords under the desk. She then organized the craft table she uses in the office. I didn't want her working too hard and getting sick again so I helped her with all of this. Here's a little secret I probably shouldn't share but sometimes men go outside to do work so that they don't have to do work inside the house.

Been getting this email once a month for a while. Have hit the "remove from this list" every month. Keeps coming back. So today I sent a rather terse email asking them to stop emailing me and remove me from the list.

I'm definitely in a Monday mood.
A couple of times a day, I get robot calls saying "the extended warranty on your car expired", "the warranty on your house needs to be extended" or "if you don't reply now we can't help you lower the interest on your credit cards". Yesterday, all three calls came within 10 minutes. I realized that all three messages had the same woman's voice.

Paging @jcyclonee............
I've been a bit out of it the last few days but here's a quick rundown.

Everybody is travelling to Wisconsin and very few have been murdered or falsely accused of a crime. Times are a-changing.

CG's multiyear pregnancy seems to finally be wrapping up.

Rabbuk, Sara, Pants and Erik are looking for jobs. Who wouldn't hire this lovely lady and these handsome gentlemen?

Woo has officially become a full-fledged ambulance chaser. Not sure if he's grown a mullet like lawman yet.

It's biking season (which may explain Velo's absence) but it's pretty tough to get in rides when there's only 5 minutes between thunderstorms. This is not a problem for me riding the recumbent bike in the gym while listening to music, reading my kindle and checking emails on my phone. I'd like to say this is a humblebrag about my ability to multitask but it's really just a reflection of how inefficient I am with the rest of my time. Also, I had a really hard time spelling inefficient.

Pants and Boxster seem to be doing a lot of day drinking with Pants unemployment. I wish I could join them or at least that they would do it in the federal court house.

We've learned that KC is not your typical retired person in that she stays up late rather than going to bed early. Orangutan's are different than people.

Sorry this isn't more complete but it's pretty hectic here.

I thought @CycloneErik was teaching at ISU? I was unemployed not too long ago, you guys will find a job.

I was a T.A. and the department set me up with a bunch of stand-alone courses.
But our funding level only allows 5 years, so I spent last year focused solely on writing and spend my time now looking for a job, or even a response to an application would do in a pinch.
