I can tell you the 830k House they bought in Kaimuki is not in a great neighborhood. Homeless everywhere. The 1.05 million dollar house in Hawaii Kai was nice though.

Liked the first one best. Had to laugh at her freaking out over a 40 minute commute so they buy a piece of **** house next to a freeway and embark on at least $200K of renovations to make it "passable". And even without your observation I was guessing this was not a great neighborhood.

Best decision of the day was not going for a bike ride after getting back from a meeting. I would have got caught in a two inches in an hour rain that would have been fun.

Learned that LuVerne Iowa has 2 successful restaurants on main street, heck most towns that size do good to support one.

Well it was still raining at 10 tonight supposedly it is supposed to quit for Fri/Sat.

Rabbuk what are you looking for next? I thought at one time you mentioned you were taking classes for something but I can't remember if you said what you were studying or if you mentioned it.
Ya I have a degree in finance

So baseball people: how long to rain delays normally go before they call it. Because the brewers game was supposed to start at 6 and they're in a delay in Philly. I wouldn't stay up to watch it, I'm just curious how long it takes them to make that decision.

And Chaser and SCyclone, living in Wisconsin might make me a bit of a brewers and Packers fan. I'm not a huge baseball person, so I probably won't be a huge fan of the Brewers, but I've just been living here permanently for a few weeks and I already have a soft spot for them

If you ever go to Lambeau Field for a game, you'll be hooked. ;)

2 more inches of rain yesterday - but I suppose I should be thankful, up by @BCClone it was a lot worse. Humboldt and Kossuth counties got slammed, the Des Moines River will really be chugging along now.

And to add to @BoxsterCy's gloom and doom weather prediction, imagine the breeding grounds for mosquitoes now.......

I am also a shingles sufferer, several years ago. Terrible burning rash all around the midsection, wearing a belt was awful. First thing I did when I got home was take my pants off, and the vixen would always say "Sorry, not tonight".

Wondering if there are any experienced horticulturists on RTT.....I have some weed issues in my lawn that I'd like to take care of. Specifically Dutch clover and yellow woodsorrel (oxalis), will 2,4-D take care of these? The **** is spreading everywhere, mainly because I have neighbors who don't care about their lawns.

It will kill the clover. Clover is adverse to Nitrogen also. Why you see it on edges quite often of lawns that are regularly fertilized. The fertilizer didn’t reach there. I do not know about the other weed you have.

You will want to make sure you have amine and not ester. Ester kills better but when hot, it can get up and dance around. Amine is more neighbor friendly.

Had 3.1 inches yesterday morning that I dumped at the farm. Got 2 inches at home yesterday and last night. Looks to have been same amount up there. It’s bad.

Ah, she’s a Wendy Peppercorn, eh?

Wendy Peffercorn there, Squints.

My oldest is getting quite a lot of business this summer dog sitting. It is all within the neighborhood so she can walk or bike there. I told her it was actually a good gig because she usually gets paid in cash. When she does have her first job with taxes and SS, it will be an eye opener.

I had shingles when I was in middle school. It was not fun. My FIL has them this winter even with having the shingles vax.

The ILs are coming today to try and see the girls play softball. Looks like the entire drive across MN will be in the rain. Hoping we actually get softball games in today, past two nights have been cancelled. The other day one of the girls asked which uniforms the team was wearing the next day. Coach texts back a picture of full scuba gear.

They cancelled games up in Clarion(?) because the fields were under water 2 days ago. Hope your inlaws get to see them play.

Anyone that goes out and plays in the rivers at these levels deserve it if they get Darwinned, if you get in trouble you should be on your own. In reality I'm ok with people being rescued, but damn people use some sense.

You should get that checked out. Cheers for being so open about your problem.

Take mom to the hospital and there is this irritating older couple here. 2 receptionists and they plug up both, have to squeeze mom in with the wheelchair. They can’t find anything so we get to go to the next waiting room sooner. I put moms wheelchair next to a chair (nobody in this room with 30 chairs) and go back to park her car. I come back and the lady has thrown all her coats in the chair next to mom and plops down in the next. Serious? It’s like a code, if someone is in a hospital wheelchair, you give a chair or two because they probably have someone coming.

At West Bend tonight. Really question if we will play. I probably can’t make it, think I bring my sister home today. Iowa City is horrible in communication.
